How would you react to a woman proposing to you in public?
My old lady keeps saying she's gonna do it...and I keep telling her that I'll say no and move out.
I dunno man...that shit doesn't sit right with me. I'm assuming NC has some progressive millennials sprinkled in here somewhere. Yay or nay? |
So she wants to wife you up but you don’t want to be married to her?
Do you not want marriage or do you not want marriage with her? You live with her and take care of her kids no? |
Phil, if your srs. Seems like you both want something different.
Ponder that. |
I ask because I May be in the same predicament minus her wanting to propose to me
|
im the opposite of a progressive millenial but im indifferent
i don't believe in the concept of marriage but if i did i wouldn't give a shit granted the make believe scenario where i'm considering marriage in the first place it would have to be a completely ridiculously bad bitch who leaves me alone 98 percent of the time and viciously drains my balls of jizm with her mouth puss and anus the other 2 percent of the time but sure if fantasy was reality i wouldn't care in reality she's just pressuring you to beat her to the punch dummy do it or don't |
Who cares, saves you a headache.
|
Embarrass her, cuz if I wanted to marry her I would be the one proposing.
All those photos of females getting down on one knee is some Bizarro World. I'm a "Milennial" but I'm not going for that silly shit. |
PUT IT IN YOUR MOUTH

Depends who she is...

tell that bitch if she proposes she has to pay for everything, and do everything for the wedding.

I live with her and assist in taking care of her kid, yeah. |

Either you love her or you don't. And regardless, she's never going to believe you unless you commit. I thought having a kid would mean more than a diamond, I was wrong And obviously someone else will marry a girl with two kids from two baby daddies because he thinks he's gonna change her. In 10 years she'll be alone having 3 dumb ass mother fuckers paying her bills. Shit, she does right now. Fuck that bitch. |

IMO, if there's nothing to be gained (insurance, death benefits, tax breaks) you should keep this the way they are. |

That's rough but good for you. No ties, IF you man up and kick the bitch out. |
my wife would prob be p upset
|
or relieved i'm someone else's problem
idk |

I would react to this heavy handed and eliminate the idea entirely.....which it seems like you attempted to do by telling her youd move out....I guess it depends how convincing you were and or if you meant it. another thing to consider.....are you at a point where you want to propose currently? you said you wanted to have children with her if Iirc? |
We're doomed. Every time she says it, and I'm like "don't ever do that," she laughs or acts as though it's funny. I'm definitely not ambiguous about my how I tell her that I'll say no.
I wouldn't mind having a kid eventually...but marriage ain't happening with anyone ever. |
Well communicate that to her in a nice way, communication is important.

But no you are wrong as always My ordeal is that the image of marriage is to marry someone who you see as perfect for you and is everything you’ve hoped and wished for. |

Look, if you’re in love with the woman who does this, you’re going to overlook any apprehensions you have
If you aren’t, you won’t get past it. Simple as that. |
Amens so smart guys!

Bitches don't ever wanna hear that...it's taken as I'm not the one for you, & rejection leads to findin' dick elsewhere.

marriage has its benefits too lets not get into all that stable environment for a family shit for now, BUT inheritance tax alone here is a big one. you get to pass on your assets in the event of death without incurring inheritance tax. sure, you may not be thinking of that now while you're relatively young, but Ive worked in and around death for 15/16 years so its at the forefront of my mind. IHT is charged at 40pc on estates that are worth more than £325,000. However, if you are married or in a civil partnership, all assets can be passed to a surviving spouse without any inheritance tax being applied whatsoever. BOOM! married couples here get some relief on Income Tax too. you can reduce the tax paid on savings, investments and on rental properties if one of you pays less tax than your spouse. this is ideal in my case as my wife has given up work while our little one was born/too young for school to stay home with baby. you can transfer assets to minimise tax bills and pay less Capital Gains Tax too Pensions come into play down the line as well.. I stand to get half my wifes pension in the evnt of her death, where as if we were only living together I'd probably get zero of that |
