Me and my x were arguing whether alligator as food is considered meat or fish

Ibviously we know that fish isn’t meat, it’s in a class of its own. Alligator is obvisly considered a fish so technically it isn’t meat, but then again it’s a reptile....

She was vegetarian so she didn’t eat meat, yet she ate fish as well as alligator...

Alligators live in water, so do fish...

Meat lives on land, therefore it isn’t fish.

Could be poultry? Also chicken is poultry.

An otter spends most it's life in water it does not make it a fish in the same way a dog that lives in a stable is not a horse. fish and meat aren't two different things this a fundemental part of what your struggling to understand.

Yeh its one of the few times i've been able to use it in a positive light. Its normally a go to for people with a racist agenda. I think the way i used it works tbh i literally used different animals and habitat as a metaphor for other animals and habitats.

The racist angle doesn't really work. Can't help but point out we are usually seen as the "noble" horse and the immigrant is used as the "lowly" dog.

A more fair version would be just because an Arabian horse sleeps in an Andalusian horse stable doesn't make it an Arabic horse. As we are all people, just slightly different genetically and sometimes characteristically (culturally). We ultimately have the same use of the stable and the same ability to make use of it.
