Rogue One is a stand alone film. The entire purpose of that film was to bridge the gap between episodes 4,5, and 6 (the original movies from the 70s and 80s) to the ones they're making now (force awakens, last Jedi).

The ones from the 00s directed by Lucas are the original trilogy that set up the other 6 movies. For some reason when dude was adapting these books to the big screen dude decided to start in the middle.

Doeant matter every human that exist knows Jedi = star wars and you gotta throw that lame was shade you throw at anything that isn't Jordan's or shitty ea sports games you miserable old coot

Movie was cool but ended in what felt like a wasted opportunity at something better. Maybe they left that for Episode IX.

so yo i didn't read the thread but i always thought the star wars franchise - particularly the initial trilogy - has been horribly overrated. maybe if i was born in the seventies i'd fuck with this shit, but i don't.

genddy's clone wars miniseries was dope, though. watch it.

movie was ok, had some great scenes but a lot of missed chances. too many to name them and don't wanna spoiler.

overall it was good.

rogue one = still the best out of the "new" star wars movies.

New film sucked. Kylo getting schooled by luke at end was ace but other then that film was wank an got rid of the big bsd way too soon. Now the protagonists have a real mountain to climb against a angsty teenager however will they do it. An how the fuck did leia survive an what was the point in her surviving. She offered nothing to the plot thereafter her revival makes us much sense as the fucking album.

I’ve come to the conclusion that this movie has officially ruined what Star Wars was or could have been. Disney is shooting for a reboot and to franchise this shit like Marvel. Luke’s overall story arc is ridiculous now.
