mick jenkins - the healing component

you guys listen to dude?

His Waters album was the shit.

just dropped what I guess you'd call his first real album. If you're into the kendrick, ab soul, and Isiah Rashad sound you'd probably love this shit.

Waters kinda overrated imo tbh 100 emoji crying laughing emoji x2

Witty 09-24-2016 06:49 AM

I don't know if I am a fan of his him as I have never listened to his him but I will listen to his him and let you know my feelings towards his him's music.

Maximus 09-27-2016 02:40 PM

never liked this dude man, he's kinda weird to me dunno

Certain 09-27-2016 03:55 PM

I liked The Healing Component but not as much as Wave[s] or The Water[s]. It's much smoother. If Chance The Rapper keeps getting more spastic, Mick Jenkins is trending toward being generic. The Isaiah Rashad comparison is apt.

Full album, though:

Also, "Jazz" remains my favorite Mick Jenkins song:

my favorite song from him as well. That drowning song off this album might give it a run for it's money though. been playing that one the most off of this.

The Dead Poet 10-01-2016 01:36 AM

^Think it's actually a cover someone did of that song. but still a ton of dope beats came from that. Dpat of soulection used it too on a 'cutthroat'.

Why would that ruin it? Toxic is a good song. This cover is good, too.

I liked that full album you posted @Certain but I've been really digging that Jazz song. what album is that off of/anyone have links?

Certain 10-01-2016 11:16 AM

@quaker oats, it's off The Water[s], which I think is a better album.

(Aside: When your mixtape is full length and doesn't include any jacked beats, it's an album. This confusing labeling shit needs to stop.)
