GOT: Arya Stark (OP IS GOT SPOILER)

I think I've worked out the last scene....
The old lady that stabs Arya, is stabbing her with NEEDLE!

~RustyGunZ~ 06-12-2016 02:09 PM

The old lady is just the waif and Arya is actually jacqin because he still owes her a life at this point I believe

Even your got threads are bad man

word^

i read that and it makes sense.

my initial thought was it was really her, she is really stabbed, but she finds the theatre broad she saved and she sews her up or some shit. but then i read the theory you posted and it makes more sense

the episode prior she's sneaking around, sleeping with her sword cautiously blowing out candles. the next episode she's parading down the streets blah blah

millz 06-12-2016 04:10 PM

Plus the way arya was acting was weird. When has she ever just strolled around with her hands behind her back like that.

It would definitely make sense that is was jaqen Hagar because he still owes her a life to be taken.

SPOILERALERT FOR EP 8

.........

i was right. lol. sometimes its the simple answers and not the crazy theories. some strange turns of events. tommen/cersei, tyrion/dany. should be interesting. i think its safe to say that littlefingers gonna show up with the nights of the vale, or at the least those mountain men tyrion had to join with jons wildlings. also i wonder if edmure will be permitted to lead the defeated tully forces north? although i doubt it since the lannisters want the boltons in power. also brienne the tall keeping lannisters sword doesnt bode well for him. its valyrian steel from ICE, and probably means brienne will be there to fight the walkers, and jamie maybe not?

whole fucking week till the next one. i might go internet dark and watch the last two at once

Some nerd super zoomed and transcribed the letter Sanda wrote last week and yes, the Vale is getting involved in some capacity.

Finnydot 06-13-2016 04:10 AM

This show is super dope. My only wish is that these episodes were like 2 hours each and a lot more of them LOL.

It's like they always gotta throw some extra shit into each episode to carry something on, rather than telling whole stories. I wish I could just "read the books" but the books aren't even close to the series at this point so, meh.

I mean it's a good show so I don't really care?

This is a reach lol cmon

"A girl is Arya Stark of Winterfell, and I'm going home."

BOOM!

Next episode is titled "battle of the bastards" which can only mean Jon vs Ramsay, which will be epic. This season has been good.

PancakeBrah 06-13-2016 09:12 AM

This has been by far the worst season of the show.

I've got to agree. It's like, without having a book to go by, they decided to go for the short-attention-span fan service style show. The resurrection of Jon Snow reminded me very much of the stuff The Walking Dead has been doing with Glen's dumpster escape and the Negan cliffhanger. That shit pisses me off.

Gotta give credit to Ian Mcshane though, he was an awesome character. It sucks that he got killed off so quickly. I really enjoyed his scenes with Sandor, they had good chemistry.

The whole Arya storyline has been stupid to me too, I haven't cared for it and I'm glad it's over. I had really hoped it would have a more clever payoff.

Destroyer 06-13-2016 09:33 AM

Aryas motivation hasnt changed since day 1
If you didnt see exactly this occuring, you havent been paying attention

anime_boners 06-13-2016 09:51 AM

okay but who else thinks the return of people like

Lemon Cloak(was Lem in the show before?), Berric Dondarrion, and Thoros of Myr means
that SPOILER: LSH is incoming

so this has been the ongoing narrative since the brothers came in and destroyed sandor's merry group of septons

BUT

they hand waived it all away pretty quickly last night. beric is alive. no LSH with a living beric.

just like they deaded any possibility of cleganebowl

i think they hate us man

Diode 06-13-2016 10:56 AM

BTW ARE WE NOT DISCUSSING THE EXTREME LIKELIHOOD QYBURN JUST TOLD CERSEI ABOUT ALL THE WILDFIRE UNDER THE SEPT WHICH SHE'LL IGNITE TO SAVE HERSELF BUT ACCIDENTALLY FULFILL PROPHECY AND KILL TOMMEN IN THE PROCESS RIGHT WHEN DANY ARRIVES TO A BURNING KING'S LANDING AND OMG ALL THE PROPHECIES ARE FULFILLED

ARE WE NOT DISCUSSING THAT AWESOME THEORY

i dunno man, i thought sandor straight up pissing in the water was a wink to the book people and a kinda hey go fuck yourself

anime_boners 06-13-2016 11:10 AM

I have really low expectations on the show, but in this case, I'm keeping my fingers crossed

uh-oh 06-13-2016 11:49 AM

Why? Lady stone heart was stupid in the books anyways and makes no sense for the show. Briennes already saved sansa, theyre miles ahead of that being relevant, and they found her like a day or two later in the books. She would be so decayed to nothingness by now in the show it wouldnt make sense.

Word to cersei nuking kings landing though.

Also i think this season is solid. We all knew jon snow wasnt dead, comparing it to such a shit show like walking dead is blasphemy.

As a book reader this is the first season ive seen off the books, so maybe thats why i notice no dropoff, its all new to me so maybe it makes up for the factor of knowing how things will play out?

Also arya becoming an assassin isnt off book tho. Literally her leaving/attempting to is the only part the books havent gotten too yet

Batty 06-13-2016 12:03 PM

I agree about Lady Stoneheart, it would be a bad idea on the show. This season has already gotten way into the supernatural aspects.

Gotta disagree with this tho:

This season is pretty much doing the same thing, trying to cater to the ADHD Milennials. The Khaleesi was never "fireproof", she was clearly supposed to be "reborn" from the ashes much like a phoenix. Taking the character in this direction leads to more questions than answers. Same with Jon Snow, who has become the Glenn of the show. Will he be "unkillable" now? why or why not?

The pacing is shit too. Ramsay Bolton needs to be doing something fucked up like every episode. Even if he isn't on the show, there needs to be something to keep his heel heat alive. A month ago, you had people wanting to see Ramsay gutted with a Slap Chop, now they're like OH YEAH I FORGOT ABOUT HIM, I REMEMBER HATING HIM.

PancakeBrah 06-13-2016 12:56 PM

I didn't mind Jon Snow coming back; i thought it was a given. But I agree with a lot of Batty's points. Also, the season just feels disjointed and also lacking any heft. Too many characters are just circling around until their 'big moment'. This was the case in previous seasons but in those the machinations and dialogue were interesting and weighty. I don't care about a lot of scenes this season.

jaime's dialog last night was fucking fantastic

Plot 06-13-2016 01:18 PM

Yeah, turns out I was wrong about the needle thing, the old woman/waif just had a long dagger that looked like needle, but Aryas a dickhead. She takes this coin and goes to the far off place to the temple and begs to be taught. Then slays the dudes apprentice and says like Nah, I wanna go home. And to where, it was already established that she had no where else to go. stupid.

~RustyGunZ~ 06-13-2016 02:17 PM

This is easily the worst season yet

Someone major needs to die and not come back to fucking life

I was hoping the blood would lead to aryas face in the hall and that story line would finally end but I'm at least happy she's leaving now and not spending another season doing fuck all

It was. And that was basically it. The dialogue and intrigue has gone way down in quality this season. It just feels like a shallower and flimsier show this year.

This.

Previous seasons it was fun to see how the books were brought to life, but the thrill of "what's gonna happen?" wasn't there and it annoyed me when they deviated from the books for no good reason.

Not knowing what's gonna happen now has me more invested in the show. I do concede there have been some stupid bits, but that's nothing new ...

Varys's little trip -- for the purpose of what happens in the epilogue of ADWD? Or something else? Spoiler thoughts: Kevan isn't really in charge in King's Landing now, so it doesn't seem like Vary needs to kill him... Perhaps he will kill Tommen or the high Septon instead? Orrrrrr... Could this be where Aegon is finally introduced?
