The quandries of a dirt person

Aight so i got some money right. Im debating renting a house in the hood, or buying a trailer in a decent trailerpark lmao. House rent would be in the 500 range.so like 1000 to move in. I can buy a trailer tho for like 1500-2 gs and then just pay 225-300 a month.

Im basically trying to get out of apartment living where i got neighbors beating on the walls and shit. Im almost willing enough to embrace my fate and become the trailer trash i was born to be.

But then on the other hand. I can just stay in this apartment for awhile longer, buy an occulus rift and repair and paint my bronco. Then move later in the year.

Ive spent all day watching oculus videos with my finger hovering over the preorder button. My pc is capable. Im ready for shitty games and VR PORN

Quandries

Certain 01-17-2016 08:49 PM

You're 26. You're not in a position where you have to own something yet. I would stay in the apartment, save your money and try to advance your body shop career to the point where you have a full-time job somewhere.

But ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

uh-oh 01-17-2016 09:04 PM

Word. Ive got a full time job now lol, this has been full time.

Im not really trying to own anything. I could rent a trailer for 500 but for that i might as well rent a house. If you buy the trailer you just pay lot rent which is half that.

Im making 12 an hour now and theyre putting me through icar courses, when im certified through that i can make pretty good money elsewhere but i signed a 3 year contract thing stating i wont just dip once im certified, or i have to pay them back. Itll be like 10k all said and done.

With 12 an hour its weird tho. One check basically pays my rent. Another check covers bills and groceries for the month. So i basically have 2 checks of disposable income now

Im used to scraping by supporting 2 people on 10 an hour. Now i got 12 to myself. Its weird

I got the music setup i want. I got the gaming pc I want. The games i want.

Im gonna cop the oculus, a fleshlight and vr porn and be dead within the week

Certain 01-17-2016 09:30 PM

So basically, when you're about 29, you'll be earning real money? Then what you do now doesn't matter that much, except that buying the trailer probably would greatly help your credit score for when you try to buy a house.

uh-oh 01-17-2016 09:56 PM

My credit is abysmal. Im not worried about that. I dont want to own a house, id rather rent for life. Id only purchase a trailer because it would make monthly payments stupid cheap. I dont think buying a trailer would help my credit either because you are buying it outright, not paying it off in payments. The monthly payments after buying it is just for the right to leave it there and live where its at. I think.

Im not sure tho. My only problem with apartment living is neighbors. I cant be loud. I have to deal with others being loud. Its a giant shared parking lot. Shit like that.

I could rent an actual house in the hood for the same price range its just you got extra bills like sewer trash gas and water. Here i only pay rent and electric.

But yea i dunno

Im gonna order the oculus and worry about moving later. Thread solved

Im renting a cheap house. Ill live here forever before i go back to a apt. Ill move back with my damn mama before i go back to an apt. I cant live the dream with neighbors on 4 sides of me.

uh-oh 01-18-2016 06:15 AM

Word.

Im wondering what diode means tho. How am i a lost cause? Because i dont want to own a house? Because i dont want credit cards and other unnecessary shit?

I buy shit outright. I rent my places of residence so when something goes wrong i make a phone call and boom. I dont gotta call a roofing company or a plumber or anything like that. I would understand owning a home if you actually owned it. But a mortgage is just paying rent to a bank. The bank aint gonna come and fix a clog in your sink dog

Nothing wrong with renting

Lemme ask you guys something.

What do you use your credit for? I honestly dont know. Other than like buying a new car or something. But you're just getting it on payments right? Why not just buy it outright?

What other applications does having good credit apply to? Its literally a non issue in my life to date

Strikta 01-18-2016 08:02 AM

Rent the house bro.

I rent a 3 bedroom in the hood lol fuck it.

I pay almost exactly the numbers u mentioned too.

550 a month.. but it cost me 1300 to get in.

Not a bad crib at all either.. got a garage too.. & a dope ass firepit. I know most the niggas round my way so the hood ain't never a prob. Plus theres a few white families round here too.

Even tho I'm roommates w/ a good friend of mine... I got more than enough space & love this crib.

Had to get outta the apt yo.

Rent the house brotha.

Strikta 01-18-2016 08:07 AM

Btw.. Diode is a different breed. A different type of man... tho I'm not going as far as to call him a better man cuz of the lifestyle he has & lives.

Whatever ur content w/ bud.

Live life & be happy.

Just stay free, warm, & keep ur belly full.

Objective 01-18-2016 08:11 AM

Dude, why is this even an issue? VR Porn man, only logical solution imo.

Dopeness, report back when you get it. (We both know you're going to preorder it.) I'm considering buying one myself sometime in the future. That thing looks fucking amazing. And don't mind Knucklehead, he just turned 75 years of age mentally and refuse to follow with the times because technology is evil.

anime_boners 01-18-2016 11:54 AM

dont buy the occulus -__-

uh-oh 01-18-2016 12:13 PM

Explain anime.

I can put myself into a virtual anime porn world. I think you are just jealous.

Ima have tifa from ff7 blowing me while aeris blows in my ear.

Ive been thinking this is the greatest thing to ever happen to fat women. I could watch pornstars blow me while a fat chick blows me in real life and as long as i dont smell cheetos and i get high enough it will be perfect.

Fully embracing the technological age

Lol I know much more about technology than you child

VR is just gimmicky man. Like when 3d tvs came out and now that shit is a general feature on most new sets without even a mention

Maybe when they get to the point you can strap on a set and actually like run around and react to the world you're in I'll rock with it but right now it's just a screen right in your face. Nothing special tbh. Buy a 3d tv and sit close to it for a more comfortable experience

facebook owns it. based on what we know about facebook, be prepared to have your ff7 threeway interrupted at the best part with an ad. also expect everything you do in your virtual sex world to be sold to ad companies

also, generally based on historical data, really only Sony and Microsoft (established tech giants) have ever brought solid products into the game industry.. so as of right now, I do not trust this too much..

Mike Wrecka 01-18-2016 09:36 PM

500 to rent a house? Holy fuck that's basically free

Over here it's a minimum 2000 a month to rent a house. And that's like a small ranch one floor type house. U motherfuckers got it made

I don't know. You could be right, but yeah... The running around VR shit things have been tried before, all the way back to the late 80's.

It could be the cost but it never seemed to catch peoples attention either way as the 90's and 00's never really felt the need to continue to develop something like that (could also be due to risk that companies took a step back) + it takes a shitload of space if you're going to walk around too. Huge fucking walking thing, looks horrible to use. The thing is that I think people want to relax or sit down when they play games, not run around etc. but being engulfed in the atmosphere and see it from a 100% first perspective view from your couch is completely different and why I think it'll work. 3D TV's are okay but I get headaches from them sometimes. That's one of my concerns for the Oculus Rift as well.

What I've seen so far from videos looks astonishing and I'd love to give it a go. Don't know if it'll be as awesome as I/everyone think but we'll see.

uh-oh 01-18-2016 10:47 PM

Yea its more than just a screen in your face its your whole peripheral vision along with being able to look anywhere. Everything you see is the game/video

As far as sony goes their vr is wack at this point. Same with the htc. The htc had a dope demo i guess but insiders are making it out like its a long way from being ready and the demo was specifically designed to be more impressive than it is.

But again i dont have firsthand experience this is all shit ive googled lol

I bought the preorder btw

Probably wont get it until may lol

~RustyGunZ~ 01-19-2016 09:08 AM

But any fps you can look around haha

uh-oh 01-19-2016 11:40 AM

I have no reason to push this anymore as the purchase had been made.

I will accept your apologies once you all have seen the error in your ways, and stop living in the past

You'll never see your rent money again once you pay it. It's gone. It's someone else's.

A mortgage is like the bank forcing you to put away money for 30 years. A sizable portion of your mortgage money gets eaten up by interest that goes to the bank, yes, but that gets offset or in most cases exceeded, over time, by the appreciating value of your asset.

If you rent for the next 30 years you won't have shit to show for it. Pay a mortgage for 30 years and you have an asset that's worth a lot of money.

Also, it surprises me that you're not the type to fix his own clogged sink.
