Just getting on the hype no actually. Guess I'm a late bloomer as I'm not really into sci-fi. The story and the work that's been put into it is what brings me towards it. III is the only movie I haven't seen yet, and after that I'm watch the newest with some friends between Christmas Day and New years eve, looking forward to it.

These never did anything for me. I want to get into them but they do nothing for me. I downloaded all the other ones and will eventually watch them. By then a quality screener or something will be out

Good to hear someones personal review of it. Been wanting to know if it was worth watching with all the controversy behind the movie. May go watch it. Not a star wars fanatic but love my sci Fi.

Even if you never liked the first six and ESPECIALLY if you liked the first two or three but hated the prequels, this movie is great. You don't need to watch the prequel trilogy, but knowing the original trilogy is somewhat important.

Kylo Ren is not at all tapped into his powers. He is trying to feed his energy through the Dark Side but lacks both proper training and proper connection. That — plus his injury — is why they allowed Finn to hang with him. He really is a lot like J.P., not only in terms of how he looks. He's a wanna-be posing as something much more. He is decidedly not Darth Vader.

Rey is almost certainly the daughter of Luke Skywalker, the more I think about it. And there is a good chance she is aware of it to some degree but unwilling to discuss it because her mother's death/disappearance scarred her emotionally. That makes her likely far more Force-sensitive than Ben and possibly very quick to understand her power.

The reason why the whole "Ren is just a Sith fanboy" concept doesn't work for me, is the fact the he is clearly using force choke, mind reading and is stopping laser blasts better than Vader did in ESB lolololol

Agreed. But I think his greatest fault is his lack of confidence and concentration. So in a scenario where he clearly can feel powerful, he will perform much better than one where he is worried or emotionally confused. He had killed his father minutes before the lightsaber battle.
