I think it's been dope having the different members share some of the mag duties as well over the past few weeks, it gives a different voice to proceedings rather than the same person doing it.

@JESODIST I know you're new to the AOWL so figured I'd give you a heads up but people "check in" their battle threads so that their opponents know they're showing

I basically just tried to get everyone I felt might have a passing interest involved

sometimes it can feel like you're hard selling, but a look at the numbers involved here shows you it seems to be working!

We have 22 participants involved this week, that's the most I've known in the AOWL to recent memory!

We're easily the biggest league out right now and hopefully I can grow the brand even more with new faces and returning vets so we can get an amazing final tournament rounded up and then (if the admins let me stick around) we can return for a sixth season and build on its success!

i think you've been doing a good job sral at modding this league......two thumbs up......cause i can remember somewhere half way through the league a lot of disconcernment with who was in charge and how they got to be that way.....im definitely enjoying the league even though my record fails to reflect this i hope it doesn't bother any of yall though and the fact that the cream of the crop are battling here just makes it more competitive in the long run.....

If I'm correct, JESODIST was a big fish in a small pond on SpokenVsWritten. Will be interesting to see how a transition to the big leagues works for his writing.

I'll have to talk to Adonis on how the playoffs will work, it is essentially seeded on those with best records but again, I tend to give those who've taken part and participated in the league regularly priority over those who've sat the season out and only taken part once or twice.

I don't know how Adonis decided playoffs in previous seasons, but that's my personal thoughts on the matter. You guys put the work in, you're the ones who deserve it. We wouldn't have reached this point without you.

Yeah sorta'. I had other names like MX One / 87 Fresh / Derox, but Razah was the first name & they knew who I was. Never did the whole 'not reveal your alias' thing.

Word. I was Lil Thug in 2005 then in 2006 I changed my name to Leximus and started fresh. I was only 12 when I was Lil Thug and had no experience so I ended up with a battle record of 6-29, and back then battle records actually mattered. So I took the elevation help from Witty and Tim and made a new name. I stopped Text battling and made the transition to Topical. Ended up beating a couple 'vets'. Dyl, Clee, Twixn. Had a battle record of like 10-3 and joined the writing league. I'm most known for the named Dagel, Belligerent, and King Soule'. Sacred Scriptures champion, semi finalist, haiku champion, 1-2 punch champion, over a dozen hall of fames, former mod, safe to say I achieved most of what I could as far as topical goes before that site went to shit. Just wish I was older when I first started so I could've did more in a shorter time.

I forgot when I started, maybe 01?? The first websites I remember were Rip The Mic & Lyrical War. I was into battling then. Spent some time at 411Hype, and ended up on RnR, that's when I got into 'topicals'.
