i watched it in the time you weren't here, roughly, and just realized where your avy is from. series began a bit juvenile but ended up being excellent.

i've read a few manga, but the only one i read is berserk so yea - hiatuses be familiar. here's hoping for an end by 2030.

I actually quite enjoyed the early arc of just like.. Gon and Killua becoming friends and stuff.. but yeah, it does only go up from there.

overall Greed Island and York New City arcs are my favorite, but had the Chimera Ant arc not been so dragged out in the anime, I'd say that would have been my fav. Even though it was hard to watch at times.

Sigh.. it's wild to think that the manga started in 1998 and is on chapter 340

while One piece started in 97 and is on almost 800

i'm not sure i'll ever consider leorio seriously - reminds me of kuwabara whose main talent was split between ripping open space/time and weathering incredible beatings. he'll probably grow to be a good support.

but word, chrollo and his 12 (well, 10 atm) are serious. that arc and the last half of the chimera ant one were ill. dark continent looks promising. can't wait to see it animated in what is likely a decade when the pressures of middle-aged adult life engulfs time i used to have for cartoons. yea.

oooh nah, I love the fuck out of Hisoka. Hisoka vs Danchou, if the day ever comes, will be the illest fight yet.

actually, there's very. VERY few characters I don't like. didn't like Shia or Youpi of the royal guard in the Ants arc.. Pitou... kind of grew on me?? I started that arc despising Meruem, then almost cried G tears at his death. OH Killuua's fat brother.. the otaku nerd.. hate him, and actually kinda dislike Illumi also. And Gensuru and his click from the Greed Island arc had no redeemable qualities.. literally every other charcter tho is like my favorite character.. Gon, Killua, Hisoka, Kuroro, Komugi (shut up), Bisky, Knuckle tho are like the S tier of the show imo
