Really confusing to me man

Spoilers if you haven't seen the first episode yet...

The direction was all over the place. The spiritual guru came across as pathetic and he called his daughter, Athena, the Goddess of love, which is incorrect. The path they took to arrive there was absurd. Two detectives serving a foreclosure notice? To a woman who just happens to have a missing daughter who worked at the detective's father's temple of gay? Talk about a fucking reach. Last year felt so excellently crafted that everyone was looking for Stanley Kubrick-esque clues because you thought you knew everything was purposeful. Colin Farrell's acting is on point for the most part, but the over the top weed, booze, coke and pills in every scene makes it feel fake. If you wanna be cartoonish then be it, this feels like a comic book being directed from a more serious angle. The director from every episode last year is gone and the landscape shots set over drums felt over the top as well. And cop bitch's sister just happens to be working where she raids? And biker dude just happens to find this missing dude on the tail end of his suicidal adrenaline binge?

I do NOT like that it's set in a fictional city tho.

I got a feeling things will start coming together by the 3rd-4th episode tho... & overall by the end of it we'll all be saying wow.

Yea.. word strik, 3 or 4 episodes, shit going to make some what sense... I think right now they are purposely shooting to make sure the viewers are questionings to keep and pull more views.

I'm seriously curious to see what's good w/ this walkin dead spin off? isn't it supposed to begin this year? supposedly, 1st few episodes are going to cover like a year before the outbreak took place and lead up to the outbreak. Sounds raw.

my main thing tho is i'm not big on murder mysteries and cop shows in general. i loved the first season tho, mainly cuz harrelson and mcconahey or whatever the fuck were DOPE, it was FRESH and just slick to me. the main selling point that had me interested as well was the weirdness of the murders, the celtic symbolism and shit, i was hoping there would be some ancient gaul/celtic sacrifice type pagan shit tied in

i was let down with how the first season ended tho

i'll continue to watch this tho. i might wait until its all out and watch it at once

Haven't seen the first but want to, previews for this season looked kinda meh. Not a big collin Farrell or Vince Vaughn tho

I do very much trust uh-oh's judgement on series... so w/ that said.. I'll eventually get on it. Sooner rather than later.

Farrell was great.

Motorcycle guy ruined the episode though. How could he get two blowjobs in the same episode and still want to kill himself? Gay ass nigga.

My only dissapointment with season one was the bad dude, the yellow king at the end wasnt wearing a pair of antlers looking like the horned god from Slaine.

I was cool w/ the bad dude tbh... big crazy ass nig.

I had a feeling it was him when they interviewed him on the lawnmower at the school too.

How they put it together w/ the green painting of that house, & it getting into his hair ect.... crazy yo.

Errol was a good villain. Removed from reality, but a God in his own little twisted world. The actor portrayed that sentiment and confidence well. The way he changed personalities and accents gave him this sense of having split personalities, but at will, as opposed to anything he wasn't aware of. He wasn't a monster. He was a person removed from normalcy and very comfortable with himself in those surroundings. No shame. I wish we had seen more of him, because they were intetesting.

This season doesn't have that supernatural vibe that last season did. The bird head was weird.

If you were confused by the episode you have a tiny attention span tbh.

I'm actually not sure what the deal was w/ that.

I have 3 theories.. & realistically they could all work out.

1. Non lethal ammo used to incapacitate Velcoro, for whatever reason Crow nigga wants him incapacitated for.

2. It's a dream & he wakes up... but not very likely.

3. He survives 2 buckshot shotty blasts.. one medium-close range, & one close range.. both in the midsection/gut area... spends the next 3 or so episodes recuperating.

you now have my attention. worth watching? i havent seen series 2 at all yet

I think the one cop only got one blow job. The actress was trying to frame him to get out he ticket. But he obviously has ED. Had to pop pills to smash his girl. The scene with his mom was creepy as fuck how she was rubbing his back making sexual comments.

I don't like the hate this show is getting. If there was no season 1 people would be more open to what it's trying to do. Seems like every critic is nitpicking every single thing about this show. Upset that there wasn't some jaw dropping life changing revelation in episode one. It's gonna take a few episodes to get into it. That's how all these shows go. Then the appreciation for what happens early on comes.
