Last nights thrones was
The best in awhile
That zombie shit caught me off Gaurd |
I missed it...
There was a zombie scene? WTF? |
gonna watch it tonight after work
read a review/summary of it tho it sounds dope they are past the books with everyone except daenrys and jon snow. also changed alot with other characters so its pretty much all new to me from here on out which is dope. there are only a couple things that happened in the books that im waiting on in the show other than that its all new to da god |
I must be the only person alive who has never seen this show.
I guess I should catch up. |
Yea Wit you should
The final 15 mins was bonkers |
witty do you have vacation time at your job?
take it immediately. do nothing other than watch every episode so you can enjoy last nights episode. do nothing else but consume foods, drugs, liquors, and defecate during the period of time it takes you to finish all of them. THAT SHIT WAS ILL. when hush mentioned zombies i had to read a review, in the books, they are BARELY ever there, ever. literally its like 99.2 percent politicking and all the characters, and .08 percent anything to do with the white walkers ( the "others" in the books.) but word even after reading a review and knowing what was gonna happen tonight shit was ILLLLLLLLLLLL but word EPISODE SPOILERS BELOW even tho hush sorta spoiled it lol ----------------------------- YO THAT WAS DOPE. hush i'm sure you never read the books right? i think the show did a good job of differentiating the "white walkers" with the army of the dead. the dead dudes can't really be killed. they aren't like zombies from other shit. which is why they can take arrows to the head, they need to be dismembered/burned. but the key is, they can be dismembered and burned. the white walkers themselves tho, cannot. as you could see from this episode, normal steel/iron whatever, shatters. in the books at least they are more WISPY, like you can't even really hit them. but that could just be descriptive JARGON for them being elusive and skilled fighters i guess. but word, in the books there is NO mention of valyrian steel killing them. it makes sense, and is hinted too, but like i said, this scene didnt happen in the books. sam killed one with dragonglass in the books so they know that works. but yea more insight, valyrian steel, like jon snow's sword "longclaw" are swords that were forged in old valyria. valyria is where the TARGARYANS are from. daenyrs, the mad king, the DRAGONS. well those swords were forged in dragon fire. they are basically the shit. even against normal swords they keep an edge better, and they are more durable whatever. well anyways, i'm pretty sure all the great houses have a valyrian steel sword. the starks had ICE, which was ned starks, but tywin lannister melted it into two blades, and gave one to jaime and one to joffrey. i assume joffreys is with tommen now. and jaime's is with brienne of tarth. the giant bitch. but word, so the fact valyrian steel can kill white walkers was ASSUMED, but now confirmed with this episode. im sure it still can't kill the dead tho. the zombies or whatever. its probably like normal swords to them. cuz remember tho, they aren't zombies as much as just reanimated flesh. like robots controlled by the actual white walkers also the white walker that raised them at the end, is ALLEGEDLY the king of the white walkers. if you remember craster, how he gave his male babies up, there was an episode where the king dude touched one, and its eyes turned blue. i'm not positive because that doesn't happen in the books. but i'm assuming thats how an actual white walker is made. you have to have like a living baby and turn it into one. but word either way, long post. i'm hype as fuck. wish i was witty and all of this was new to me just so i can watch it all again lol |
also long claw
is the ancestral sword of house MORMONT. the old commander of the nights watch was lord mormont. his son is jorah mormont, who brought tyrion to the queen of dragons. basically he was disowned and shit after selling slaves or something to do with slaves, i think he was supposed to take the black or be killed i dont remember, but he fled across the narrow sea or whatever. so thats why jon snow has longclaw. it should be jorahs sword and jon snow should have nothing. because he's a BASTARD LOL |
That was an interesting read
so the producers basically did something clever n stayed in line w/ the lore of the books somewhat? Like they expanded on speculation? U said white walkers were described as being almost Casper esque but then said it was just the way u perceived the text. |

i will start season 1 tonight, i dont got shit to do besides smoke this 1/2. |

but you won't regret it for real. its hands down one of, if not the best shows of all time. |

so i envisioned them as like wispy type things, just turn and your striking at air. in the show they are definately solid creatures. like even sam in the books, who kills one with the dragonglass, kind of caught it off guard and when he stabbed it it kind of screamed and exploded/dissolved, so while its in the shape of a grotesque human or whatever, i've associated them with weird wraith like qualities. but as for the show in general, they caught up with the books, they want to do the ENTIRE story in 7 seasons i'm pretty sure. where as the author of the books, has extended it to i think 8 books, when he initially thought it would be 3-5 or some shit. basically he keeps getting more in depth and each book is CRAZY long. but like i said the show caught up with him, and they are moving ahead. with that SAID, they aren't just making shit up now. i mean they are, but the author told the showrunners everyones plotlines, and how he has it all ending and basically the whole story. the thing is tho, the show doesnt stay 100 percent true to the books. they change shit, leave characters out and that, but its still followed the general direction of the books. main plotpoints remain in the show, and etc. but there are main things that they either left out, or haven't put in yet. the question going forward is how close they are going to keep everything with the authors vision, when they don't have actual books to write scripts from. i honestly debated whether or not i would continue watching it until i read the books that haven't been released yet. but last nights episode convinced me, i 'll keep watching. and now instead of hoping the show can be as good as the books, i'll be hoping the books can be as good as the show. long posts bro's but this shit still has me hype. |
I got the first book but never read cuz it's long winded and boring
But yo So if dragon glass kills them And dragon fire forged steel kills them When that blonde bitxh bring her dragons I guess she will save the day Also I read all those walls of txt uh oh And I never read long posts so yea Would read more |

keep in mind one flew off tho, and the others are in chains in a dungeon because she can't control them anymore. i could give relatively minor spoilers, because honestly they are caught up with her storyline for the most part. but i have a feeling the next two episodes, will be them fully catching up. so there is no point. they'll most likely cover it in the next two. lol. but yea also its speculated that tyrion and jon snow are both targaryans. they don't touch on it in the show much tho so probably not haha. but yea, apparently people think tywin hated tyrion not only for killing his wife when giving birth to him, but that he actually wasn't tywins. apparently tywins wife was fine as shit and one of the targaryens was hounding after her. so people think maybe him being a weird deformed midget is from the incest blood of the targaryen line. also i'm pretty sure he has a purple eye in the book. the targaryens all have white hair and purple eyes. but in the books all the lannisters are blonde so who knows. also the jon snow theory is that ned stark would never father a bastard. he's too bound by honor and doing the right thing. that said if you remember, ned was against ROBERT BARATHEON, killing daenrys/the mother of dragons. he was pushing for him not to have her assassinated, this was before she was sold to khal drogo, and before she birthed dragons of course. but anyways, neds honor kept him from letting robert kill a child, just because she had the blood of the dragon. well robert, tried to wipe out all the targaryens. to help solidify his claim to the throne. now jon snow comes into this, because RHAEGAR targaryan, who robert baratheon killed in battle, ALLEGEDLY, was banging LYSA STARK. who was neds sister. after rhaegar won a tourney before war broke out, he basically dedicated his victory to her and shit. well anyways the theory is that rhaegar is jon snows dad. lysa stark fathered a bastard, and ned stark took care of him, and sheltered him from robert baratheon, because he had stark blood in him, and it was the honorful thing to do. keep in mind these are just fan theories tho. SUPER REACHES. i read the books a bunch and none of this ever came to me. its what super fan nerds have thought up. but daenrys has 3 dragons. it could be her tyrion and jon snow riding them into battle with the undead. we're all on the same page now basically lol. the advantage of reading the books is gone lol. i just know a bunch of indepth lore, and side shit from the billions of characters in the books. but all the events of the books have pretty much happened in the show. now this is my last post. and by last post i mean not close to my last post lol |
double post
|
Show is dope.
For sure one of the best. |
Hi...
Shit was hard... Bye... |
@uh oh
Did you see that article floating around listing the 5 characters GRRM wish were in the series? Your boy Strong Belwas was in there. That last scene was the best action segment the shows ever done. Guerilla warfare, the way it was shot. You could barely tell what was happening at some points. Just vicious stuff, great cgi effects. The giant was dope. That final stared down was executed perfectly. 10/10 episode; all the stuff prior to the battle scene was interesting as well |
nah i'm gonna look for the article now tho
i didn't care for daario naharis or whoever is banging daenrys in the show. in the books he's supposed to be a SUAVE like self confident ladies man, but you can tell his dialogue and interactions were written by a short portly beady eyed weirdo. basically his only role in the books is to be a pretend leader of a small contingent of mercenaries, and bang khaleesi every now and then. but in the show he's taken on that role as well as strong belwas' kind of. but word gonna look up that article. i was hoping maybe they would introduce belwas with the fighting pits, but nah :( |
I watched the last bit four times. Holy shit. Only gripe about this season is *SPOLIERS* I was expecting more to happen, with all the build up from last season. It's like they are just building up more this season. With Bolton/Stannis/Tyrells+Littlefinger vs Cersei etc etc has been building the whole fucking season yo. Next two eps and next season better be like 90% action
|
After nothing happening in the couple episodes before I was hoping for some action. I like it when they do shit diff than the books, that way I don't see it coming. Tyrion never met daenarys in the books and a zombie army didn't attack Jon snow. I bet after this season George martin releases the next book, which is overdue now for like 4 years. Season finale for this season will prob be dany flying on the dragon.
I would recommend the books to anyway tho, ull get addicted. @Hush they get way better after the first book |
I've read all the books, this last episode was dope as fuck. Also they haven't exactly moved beyondthe books with aarya and cersei quite yet
|
Also is there any proof that any valyrian steel can kill a walker? If so why would Sam tell Jon he needs the dragon glass if he knew he had the sword? I was maybe thinking the scene was hinting at Jon being azor ahai.
|
The battle with the undead army was dope af, period son. It's amazing how this show can have all of the sex and politics stuff and then just bust out some battle shit that makes Lord of the Rings look extra weak. It's like the perfect mix of realism and supernatural shit.
But yo, that White Walker leader was totally like "Come at me, bro"... like forreal. Jon Snow's crew should be realizing that they need to kill his ass if they have any hopes of beating them. This episode really got me thinking, it's like it opens up a whole new realm of possibilities and I wonder if small scenes throughout the series don't end up as major clues later on. The other 2 Stark bros aren't even in this season at all... makes you wonder where that will go next season. Also, nobody believes The Hound and The Mountain are really dead, do they? That's gotta end up as the future match of the series right there. They can't piss away that opportunity. At this point, it does feel like the main character is Jon Snow. They've really gone back and fourth with who the main character is, but now it seems like Jon Snow is the man. His past has always been mysterious, so there's sooooooo much potential there. What if Jon Snow was originally a Wildling? or maybe he is Robert's son? Stannis offered him the chance to become a legit Stark too... but yeah bros, sooo much potential now with that character. |
Spoilers..
In the books it's suggested that the mountain is basically turned into a quiet zombie type dude who goes by the name Robert strong and he helps cersei after she gets out of prison. The hound is suggested to be working at a monestary or something as a grave digger.. Supposedly the hound is " dead" But sandor clegane is still alive |
Yeah, @john hensley I have heard about that. It is clearly hinted in the show that The Mountain is being "zombified" but they are keeping The Hound's status mysterious. I know some fans have written him off as dead tho.
@Hush books can be boring, you ever peep the graphic novels tho? http://www.top100lists.ca/images/gam...phic_novel.jpg |
YouTube game of thrones history and lore. It's like 6 hours of animation with voiceovers done by the shows cast. It breaks down all the history of houses, children of the forest, first men, azor ahai etc etc... They were only released as extras on the blue ray seasons but they're all online now.
|
But word, I think everyone wants to see the hound kill the mountain
|

fuck stannis |
hens it was clearly about the sword not jon. the walker shattered the thenns axe and a sword jon picked up prior to jon using longclaw. when he clanged longclaw into the walkers sword spear thing it didnt shatter like the other weapons. prior to that the only thing they knew could kill them was dragonglass. now they know valyrian steel can too.
also in the show there was a scene with qyburn in his chambers with a sheet over a dude who moans and moves after being still for the whole scene. im sure its the mountain i gotta reread the last book tho i forgot about the robert strong dude or whatever. |
but word sam never uncovered anything about how to fight and kill them. they only knew dragonglass could kill them because sam himself actually killed one with it.
|
The Mountain is still being revived/frankenstein'd by Cersei's scientist goon in the show. Same guy that visits her in her cell. Also pretty much the only guy still loyal to her...OR SO IT SEEMS
|
word
"the work continues" |
What happens to him in the books? I'm only on the 3rd, I'm slow as fuck with finishing books cuz ADD.
|
That episode was great, I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next, wish I could binge watch on some netflix series shit.
|
dead @ Walter Whitewalker, that may be the coolest shit ever.
|

/////////_________7))))))))))))) im not sure if cersei confesses or what happens i forget but i know shes stripped naked and beaten through the streets by those religious dudes. there was a scene earlier where they were whipping an old naked dude through the streets. that happens to her. but thats all i remember. i dont remember robert strong or any of that. |
I cant wait for Lady Stoneheart, my bro told me about her in the books...
**spoiler** basically the priest from the brotherhood of no banners brings Lady Stark back to life but shes all bent on revenge and has a gaping would in her throat that she was to hold together to be able to talk. |
Best thing about this show is that they all do or try to do my local accent. Part from baelish, not sure Wtf is going on with his accent, part Welsh.
Jon show is a stark/targarayn. Son to neds sister and reagar. Brandon is gonna come back to control drago and save the day from the white walkers. |
