Does anyone want to run a topical tournament?
 

My advice would be short-verse format.

And no, I'm not running it. I'm not taking over if you fail at running it. I may participate, but I don't even guarantee that. Maybe in the fall I'll think about running a small tournament.

But yeah, with @zygote dead and gone, we have nothing lined up. @Adonis or anyone else interested?

I was thinking a sort of synthesis of Short Verse and WCL, meaning unconventional topics and perhaps some writing restrictions.

Awell, the premise of my format is that basically everyone uses the same topic per round and everyone that competes has to vote.. order who was best to worst. its a great way to do topicals, you see an array of different approaches to topics and it isnt just dude vs dude. I did it that that the person that lost the round got to make the topic for the next round, and all the players had to vote to stay in.

I've watched you for years writting in these tourney hoping one of you would improve
and become an awesome writer and make it big as a writer..
I've watch some of you grow up via online, but i've know you since you were 12 yrs old and you haven't amounted to shit!!
maybe it's my fault, maybe i didn't push you hard enough..
Maybe i should of joined more tourments and be more hands on, instead of leaving it up to the lazy ass Richard Corey, Sessions, etc..
perhaps with this new young batch of writers i'll be more hands on.. they're not as talented as the first batch but maybe there's still hope

I would prefer to get someone new to step up and I would be more than willing to help them with the mag. I have been trying to slowly ease my way away from moding the past year or so with no success. If we can't find anyone else within the week I will because as I've always said, I'd rather have people competing then not.

@Plot, we need to come up with a way to 1.) Make sure these verses aren't too long and 2.) Keep there from being 20 submissions. No one has time to read 20 verses in a short span and rank them.

Your idea is almost identical to Write Week, which was a failure.
