Closest to prime Em I've heard since MMLP

DLB 08-17-2013 01:28 AM

em needs to retire tbh he just making me wish it was '01 again w/ the way he raps now

Neighbor 08-17-2013 03:00 AM

He smashed this one

DLB 08-17-2013 03:07 AM

he sounds like the same stale eminem from Relapse and Recovery tbh, just less corniness than usual. none of his stuff sparks my interests anymore, son fell off bad

Neighbor 08-17-2013 03:12 AM

You're on ignore

dull boy 08-17-2013 08:55 AM

I think you're blinded by fanboy love, Zack. I've been guilty of it numerous times with Em', so I don't blame you.

Nothing was smashed here. He's gotten oodles better at production value over the years. To the point where he can win Academy Awards and be the soundtrack for video games, but as far as his feel for what's dope and what's not? He's fallen off. There's some cool lines here and there, but it all sounds dull. Em used to grab your attention with what he said. Now everything he says sounds like a textcee who's pressing. Em sounds like a rapper who's caught between trying to be more relevant and has lost most of his inspiration. He has nothing left to prove, other than to prove he hasn't fallen off, but he has, and him trying to be what most people think is dope isn't going to fix that.

I think Relapse, minus the accent is the closest we've seen to who Eminem is now. When you've been around as long as he has, at the level he has, all those punches and 'clever' lines just seem boring. He still wants to write them, but I don't think he really cares. He'd prefer to be being weird, I think.

pretty accurate, i just hate how he yells on every track now

ill nik-A 08-17-2013 09:01 AM

I enjoyed it and dont need to read paragraph hatred

Hollywood 08-17-2013 09:16 AM

Em just isn't Em anymore

Geno 08-17-2013 09:19 AM

Em is a clone

The clone smashed this one though.
Regardless, he's ggonna crush the charts when his shit drops.

What is not legitimate about being white and living in the suburbs?

Why is that a bad thing?

I don't need anyone to make me legitimate, I do that all on my own.

Will listen to this soon.

Inno 08-17-2013 10:55 AM

Lol but seriously....

Has eminem fallen off because there are so many white rappera
Now?

Beforw he was thw only one really..and he was dope.

Now its a brigade of Caucasian rapping and all of sudden is wack?

Imo thw dopest em was...was during infinite.

Its not like he saying anything new...drugs, his mom, some random pop star.

I just dont get it lol.

Faux the fox tho

Witty 08-17-2013 11:09 AM

The fox is above everyone.

And I still think Eminem is one of the best tbh

Untold 08-17-2013 11:22 AM

This was great. The second bar he killed and the third was dope.

There's really nothing eminem can do wrong in my eyes, except Relapse. Other than that, this was good to hear. Anticipating the album and hopefully an American tour.

Strikta 08-17-2013 12:12 PM

This is just 1 song off the album he's got coming out.. I'm not about to judge him until I hear the whole thing.

Bodey 08-17-2013 12:22 PM

to me this just sounds like a warm-up for whats to come. sounds like he's just excited to be rapping again between the 5 years that he wasnt.

and i think everyone here realizes, INCLUDING eminem himself, that he'll never top his SSLP/MMLP albums. those were raw. i been listenin to MMLP recently and i loved it, the way he raps was calmer IN TONE, and i miss that about Em. i am tired of the screaming rap he sounds like now. but then, in the same day, i'll be listening to 25 to life and i'll love every minute of that too.

like strikta said, it's just one track. either way, i'm buyin his cd. i'm sure it'll be worth it as always

Darth Yoda 08-17-2013 12:39 PM

Eminem always sounds like he's trying to be something now. Came out with Relapse. Got made fun of. Changed his style to suit demands. Mr. just don't give a fuck, gives massive amounts of fuck.

uh-oh 08-17-2013 01:18 PM

its still em forcing rhymes and metas and shit and yelling over beats

he's one of the wackest out

STAB MYSELF WITH A KNIFE IN THE GUT WHILE IM WIPING MY BUTT

dope shit bros. hot fire. em is back

Malachi 08-17-2013 02:12 PM

It was ok

I don't like the beat

Lyrics were cool I guess

Certain 08-17-2013 02:18 PM

In the past decade, Eminem has only been good when he's rapping with someone else, usually Royce the 5'9". That competition brings out his best. He stole 50 Cent's shine twice on Get Rich or Die Tryin'. Plus there's "Renegade."

BWHAHA 08-17-2013 03:38 PM

@Darth Yoda @dull boy lol. em is still em. he's already proven what he needs to be proven. globally known. not just as a rapper. as an artist. he's older too, different, why would he still be talking about chainsaws and stuff. that's just not him anymore, and he is STILL em, he can still do chainsaws and shit like that. and the original topic, stan, sing for the moment, etc. doesn't mean he's falling off. lol. You think he's fallen off because he's not as off the wall as he used too. This song SUCKED btw, not because em isn't dope rofl. it's production value now. sounds weird as hell. he's a pop artist now, not a rap artist. still is the same person. he's beyond richer than whatever. he can drop this for the rest of his life and still make money. why not? he's set financially. which is actually the ultimate goal. and he's cemented his legacy, as a great artist. even if underground heads think he's a sell out or sucks. lol you think he *really* cares. and no, zack, he didn't 'body' this. I'm listening to it as i write this. wasnt good. sounds like a kidz bop album with the little strained girl voice singing to the sound of drums and mini guitar ukeleles. LOLZ! kidding me?

dull boy 08-17-2013 03:55 PM

Does care. Cares tons. Reads blogs I write about him. Cries. Goes to the studio with me on his mind. Fails. Makes a bunch of money, sure, but doesn't impress me. Failure. Crying Marshall.

HEY ADAM! ZACK IS A JACKASS, LOOK AT HIM!

no he didn't.

dull boy 08-17-2013 04:00 PM

@BWHAHA. Em' is not Em'. I mean, Marshall, who is known as Em' is still Marshall as a person and shit, but like, he's not Em' Em' that he became known as. That Em' is young, still out grave robbing and fucking putting dynamite in James Franco's mailbox. This Em' is old, and rich, and has a workout routine. Wears clothes he designed. HE'S NOT THE SAME. I'm gonna go listen to Earl Sweatshirt.

namix 08-17-2013 04:02 PM

he's not a rapper he's an adapter, he can adjust

Actually, I thought Lloyd Banks had the best verse on "Don't Push Me." But Eminem's was better than 50 Cent's.

As far as "Patiently Waiting," well, that might be my favorite song on the album (though "Many Men" and "In Da Club" are high on the list). But I don't know how you could say Em didn't kill that.

namix 08-17-2013 04:08 PM

haha but c'mon

Im stabbing myself with a fucking knife in the gut, while I’m wiping my butt
Cuz I just shitted on the mic and I like getting cut
I get excited at the sight of my blood, your in a fight with a nut

nah i hear you its how you worded it. em stealing his shine or whatever. when i think of get rich or die trying i think of "you not like me", high all the time, heat, basically every track. its a classic.

i thought you meant em somehow overshadowed the whole album with his verses on those songs

Nah, I meant on the individual songs. I love Get Rich or Die Tryin'. The Massacre's grown on me, too, though the Eminem song ("Gatman and Robbin") on that is fucking awful.

Certain 08-17-2013 04:19 PM

BASICALLY EMINEM NEEDS TO RAP WITH MORE BLACK PEOPLE SO HE STOPS DOING THAT SUBURBAN CRACKER FAKE SHIT.

Wise Wiggles 08-17-2013 04:22 PM

He has always yelled. Except maybe sslp. Get real.

I sit back with this pack of zig zags

And once again, relapse was cool to me so suck a baby dick. Sucka suckaaaaaa

WORD

and he needs to drop some depressed shit

he's rich but i know he's a weirdo who gets depressed. hence the drug addictions, now he yells frustration shittily

he needs to embrace his depression, lay it out calm and vivid like 1999 slim shady or even back to infinite. when he was a normal person. not a weirdo yelling all the time when he has nothing to yell about but babbling nonsense to fill bars in a forced 16 to a shitty song he's putting out just to put something out

Wise Wiggles 08-17-2013 04:28 PM

uh-oh 08-17-2013 04:30 PM

how do you listen to that without feeling corny as shit

Wise Wiggles 08-17-2013 04:32 PM

lol rap in general now a days is corny? trick question maybe?

Franco 08-17-2013 04:34 PM

No mi gusta.

dull boy 08-17-2013 04:36 PM

Relapse > anything Em's done since Eminem Show. Minus those weird fucking accents, it was dope.
