I was looking through your Hall of Famers, and Lefty really impressed me. I read a couple of his verses from the Legacy tournament. It seems as though these days no one (here, at least) tries to have a cohesive battle verse that feels like a whole instead of a scrambled mess of punchlines. That was an important factor back when I last battled, though that's been seven or eight years.
