Is that show Gotham really legit?
 

I need more opinions before I invest the time.

Usually I'm not for 'reg TV' series.. but I've actually been hearing nothing but good things about it.

Thoughts/opinions?

I don't think it's very good no. Decent but not on par with premium shows at all

it's almost like you have to know the history of Batman lore to understand most of it

I'm actually watching this right now. Season3

It's amazing. I had my doubts considering the timeline and youthfulness of the characters, but it's one hell of an origin story for many ppl. From the Gotham underworld to Bruce Wayne, Harvey Bullock, Jim Gordon, Barbara Gordon, Catwoman, Victor Zazz, Penguin, Toymaker, Fish, the evolution of Banes' s Venom drug, etc.

It's very compelling. Covers much of the Batman universe with different ways to tie in the characters. I love it.

I think it's pretty nice... to art's point, it's no like breaking bad or SOA or some shit --- but i think it's a cool spin, and pretty raw for a superhero/comic spinoff.

it's cool to see the characters evolve... i wasnt like a batman buff, so it took a few episodes before i started catching on to shit like 'ohh damn, that's gonna be 2 face eventually... or the riddler, etc.'...

anyway, it's cool enough to keep me watching

i'm definitely less sure about Flash

I think it's strange that he works for GPD. Idk how close that is with the comics, it has been forever and my memory betrays me but it doesn't feel right. Perfect casting for him, though.

I love seeing all the corruption Jim Gordon is facing. Nearly everybody is corrupt from government to the GPD. It really does his character justice. Harvey Bullock is such an intriguing character as you see how he used to be like Gordon but his old partner influenced him to become the no good piece of shit that he is today.

Also how the show goes into detail on how Bruce Wayne became his own detective.

Same here man, I never watched a ton of Batman growing up but I knew a few characters an bad guys, y'all just blew my mind mentioning the riddler lmao

But if you know your batman, this show is top 5 on right now, tbh.

i saw a couple of episodes and was thoroughly disappointed. don't watch it.

It's supposed to have Killer Croc, and I know Bane will be introduced soon.

Penguin's ascension has been terrific. He's a truly conniving villain.

I'm a Batman fan and I will admit there were a few moments that I marked out for but this show is ass.

Catwoman at 12 years old already dressing and acting like Catwoman? Naw son.

I've decided I won't be watching this. It just doesn't seem like my cup of tea... but for true Batman fans it's prolly butter.

I'm a comic book geek and said the same thing based on the time period in each character's life. But..I was wrong. It's actually making me rethink whether or not I should watch Smallville and Arrow for the first time. Flash, too. I don't know if it's still called CW or UPN or whatever but I generally stay away from every show on it as its more young adult-oriented in casting i.e. Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Smallville, Arrow, etc.

I seen the trailers hyping up for season 1 and it just looked low budget and the acting looked super hammy/cheesy to me so I never gave it a chance. I'm not a batman comic nut but I know enough to know I won't get lost. I mean I've played all the Arkham games and watched every movie so I think i'd be aight.

I might give it a go and see whats up but my expectations are pretty low.
