I wish that I could be like the cool kids

'Cause all the cool kids, they seem to fit in.

At the movies. Alexander and the no good terrible horrible not good awful horrendously bad day. I wanted to see Maze Runner, but apparently that's too much for a 3 and 8 year old and I was restricted from allowing them to see it. Didn't wanna see that gay Mexican Halloween style movie and Boxtrolls seems too drab.

Gonna leave these two here and go see Equalizer. Already saw Gone Girl.

Had my offspring take a picture of me in a cardboard cut out of the Dumber and Dumber To movie where Jim and Jeff are driving their Puppy truck and I'm riding on the stick shift.

Glad the 3 year old allows me to carry in a diaper bag. Twizzlers, Coke and peanut M&Ms.

This Cool Kids song is horrible. Btw.

El Muffin 10-18-2014 12:38 PM

I think you are cool.

I come at you sometimes because its difficult to see where you stand

~RustyGunZ~ 10-18-2014 12:55 PM

great idea

Clayray 10-18-2014 01:19 PM

Get boxtroll tickets. Walk into maze runner movie.

dull boy 10-18-2014 01:41 PM

Yeah. When the movie was over I found them wandering the building. I told them to stay put. Must want to be kidnapped.

The theater wasn't the one who wouldn't let me into Maze Runner with them. That was their mother.

Wise Wiggles 10-18-2014 02:30 PM

You ain't buried her yet?

Hush 10-18-2014 02:31 PM

It's a shame they didn't.. Then you could see whatever you want, whenever you want

Movies > kids

Zen 10-18-2014 04:21 PM

This thread scares me. Damn...

Last time I went to the theaters the Baddour Center came to. It's like the local place where people with mental disabilities live, which was cool. But one of them got off the bus with a helmet and I was like why is this dude stereotyping so fucking hard right now?

Anyway, I went to see Left Behind and they came in the same theater and it sucked so bad the dude with the helmet said out loud, "Oh, bullshit," when everyone disappeared in the movie. That made me feel like I didn't waste twenty bucks for the tickets.

anime_boners 10-18-2014 04:42 PM

mine wanted to see maze runner

imdb'd the parents guide

decided not lol

also I dont think ppl realized you were joking about leaving them

Mike Wrecka 10-18-2014 04:55 PM

U want to bring ur three year old kid to see an R rated movie?

I'm sure watching a Hunger Games knock off for an hour and a half is worth the countless hours you will spend comforting your child as he has night terrors for the next ten years

El Muffin 10-18-2014 05:13 PM

Mine wanted to, too. I honestly think they could handle it. Mom was all super against it.

El Muffin 10-18-2014 05:59 PM

Why wouldn't ppl want children to see hunger games?

I nvr seen it but thought it was a teeny flick?

Like frm wot I've heard

dull boy 10-18-2014 06:07 PM

Maze Runner. Not Hunger Games.

El Muffin 10-18-2014 06:11 PM

Oh yeah.

Maze runner

Same thing

Lol

I don't know why I get the two mixed up

I nvr seen either

But some far reach of my minds telling me they r related?

Heard it/ read that sumwhere

dull boy 10-18-2014 07:32 PM

They're both based on young adult novels.

So was Lord of the Flies, if you wanna throw that one in there, too.

Haven't seen Maze Runner, obviously, but I don't think it's much like Hunger Games, beyond having kids involved.

Why was the wife so against you taking the kids to see Maze Runner?

El Muffin 10-18-2014 07:36 PM

Word.

Not a fan of the premise

Def not seeing either movie

Witty 10-18-2014 07:38 PM

My mother was like that too when my siblings and I were younger, uptight and strict.

Then when I reached 14 she stopped giving a fuck about anything, I think we broke her.

You got to spend time with your kids though and that's always a good thing even if the movie sucks :)

are you guys pretty uptight parents? she reminds me of a stern christian mother

Mike Wrecka 10-18-2014 09:29 PM

Yes she is uptight because she doesn't want her 3 year old to see a movie that has a monster brutally and savagely ripping people apart

Are u people all actually retarded or just like white trash dirt bags

Why are those the only two options?

I think kids are much better equipped to deal with such things than we give them credit for, I know I certainly was as a child. I was deep in to horror movies and stuff from a young age and I like to believe I have turned out as a balanced and respectful person.

Clayray 10-18-2014 09:43 PM

11 min in i see dick.

muff wtf
