Why is Daylyt getting a KOTD champ match against Pat Stay?
 

I mean, I'm definitely looking forward to Charron vs Charlie Clips on the same card, but how does Daylyt get the nod over Charron? Daylyt is a blight to leagues and has said he doesn't care ab battling.

Pat Stay is one of my favorites but I'm tired of him ducking Charron. He rarely defends and when he finally decides to it's against a novelty act. Charron should be KOTD champ right now.

Pat Stay vs Real Deal would be epic.

Regardless of personal preference, there is nobody in KOTD with the momentum and fan following that Charron has. Pat Stay's entire schtick is "Sucka Free" and Charron has called him out in damn near every battle he has been in for the last cpl of yrs. So what does Pat Stay and Organik do? They setup Pat Stay vs. Daylyt. Lmao.

Straight bullshit. Pat Stay's last champ match proved to me that if Charron vs. Pat Stay were to happen right now, Pat Stay would lose the chain.

Daylyt will do nothing for KOTD. And that's counterproductive considering what Lush is doing with FilmOn.

I like this matchup. Only thing Real Deal has against him is that he just did 4 battles in like the past month and has already said he's getting burned out. After that Daylyt bullshit, I wouldn't be surprised if he takes an extended break.

Absolutely on both points. At this point, regardless what these idiots are saying ab how Daylyt is good for battle rap, Daylyt's antics delegitimize whatever card he's on.

And Pat Stay did body Dizaster. I was happy to see it and still watch that battle to this day. But Pat Stay is becoming less and less enthralled with battle rap, as his third round against Diz pointed out. All the sidestepping that Pat Stay has done with Charron, all those comments ab how being KOTD champ is a burden he doesn't really care to have, coupled with this most recent scheduled champ match with Daylyt?

The personals Charron has is fucking insane. What Charron did to HFK, I could see that happening to Pat Stay. Especially if Pat Stay continues to brush him off and not take him seriously.

Charron has a ton of momentum and is just as beloved in Canada right now as Pat Stay is.

It would be a classic.

If anything, the winner of Charron/Charlie clips, if judged and not a promo battle, should battle Pat Stay.

I think Daylyt has some really clever bars, and also some really dumb bars, but the antics are needless, I think he has the talent to compete without them when he actually tries, thought his battle against Chilla Jones was great.

Yeah, I'm not saying that he doesn't have bars, at this point it just doesn't matter. Any league that he is in, any opponent that he has, whatever tier, will suffer from his participation. Daylyt has been lauding the media attention he has received from the DITD antics, but none of that is good publicity. Not for him. Not for battle rap in general. Bad publicity might still be publicity, but who does it benefit more? The leagues that book him? The opponents? Battle rap? None of it. It doesn't even benefit him tbh bc he went from somebody who I first saw battle and was impressed to a guy that is a complete moron.

So he is going to battle Pat Stay, Pat Stay will win, and the win will come off as a paper champion defense. Pat Stay is better than that shit. Organik and KOTD knows it. They're trying to secure views. Everything Pat Stay told us he's against.

One of my friends saw the recent stunt and says to me, "Battle rap is still a thing?" I think you are underestimating the reaches of that publicity. It's no different than having heels in wrestling. It's why Chael Sonnen draws better ratings than Jon Jones.
