dont waste time or money on it will smith was good harley was good joker has like 15 total min screen time all of the other characters were poorly written and/or acted. the plot barely sustains itself. |
Was decidedly mediocre
Leto as joker was cringeworthy |
7/10
|
Without Margot Robbie it'd be horrible.
|
Agree w/ the above.
It happened Leto's Joker was pretty bad. |

Cosign with bags.
wasnt expecting this shit from David Ayer(the guy who made fury) |
Yall crazy leto killed it. Had the most accurate joker laugh to date. And the movie wasnt even meant to focuss on him at all. I still loved him. Other characters besides smith werent the best. But the witch and her brother were beast yo. Yal fucking crazy

i'll say this, from a comic book fans perspective, this movie was great. it has a lot of good elements that pull from certain themes of the comic books, the characters plots that are developed from suicide squad and original Detective series
now from a cinematic perspective (comparing it to Chris Nolan's Batman trilogy) it does lack the humanizing element that Nolan added to it. Nolan brought more of a non-fictional/serious story element to it; made the audience sympathize with Batman and the villains themselves David Ayer/Snyder unfortunately does not that too well. Well, let me rephrase, they're making these movies for fans and trying to bring the comic to life (colors, easter eggs, certain themes true fans will only understand) but this create plot holes, unfinished story lines and leave the audience (who about 85% don't read the comics) scratching their heads and not understanding i liked it, i've followed the comics and enjoyed ways of tying certain story lines together. on the note about the Joker (he's not really in the Suicide Squad comics to begin with). he's just a memory, of harley quinn for the most part, whose face is just a piece of skin that's been cut off and yada yada.. i could go on either way, go watch it. it's fun and enjoyable. love the music and though it seems it can be much at times, it's still a fun ride. plus harley is haf |

I liked it for what it was.
Should have developed the story a LOT better....should have been like a 3 hour long movie, but they condensed it and kinda took away from it. 6/10 |
@TYSON what do you think

SPOILER WARNING The enchantress was cooperative with the Government all the way up until they have formed a team of people that could fight against her, THEN she goes awol? like.. all of what she did.. the attempt to steal her heart back, reviving her brother etc. there was no reason she couldn't have done it from the start lol. and in terms of motivation.. so okay, she's pissed that the humans no longer worship her and her brother. generic. but not awful i guess? so now humanity "worships machines" she says. so she's all like.. "i will build a machine that will kill them all"... so like she uses magic to form a big Hoarders-esque junk pile in the sky. and then when she starts attacking shit.. she's just shooting magic lightning or whatever at it.. like.. why does she need a the gigantic flying debris collection??? it was literally for no reason other than to be an hourglass to give the protagonist characters time to get to her before she kills the whole world. And the funny thing is they already had that plot device in the form of her heart. All the writers had to do was have her be weakened by the damage done to her heart and have her and her brother creating the army of squishy head ppl on the low, waiting for their chance to steal back the heart. Though I guess that would undo the "big reveal" we all saw coming, which of course, was that the person they were sent to extract and rescue was the lady who formed the squad. NOBODY saw that coming. The story pans out like it was written as a fuckin fanfic. |

I'm the law on movies. That's established by me just saying it just then.
This movie by movie standards is shit. Absolute shit. Poor plot writing. Poor editing. Poor flow. Shit development. Good acting. Good characters. Highly disappointing. |

Leto > Ledger
|
Reed pretty much was right on the money
Shit was so plot weak, and they just forced too many characters into it. Katana was pointless, croc was wasted, boomerang was underused etc etc Joker wasnt in it enough for me to fully rule on leto yet. I didnt like how he seemed to actually care for harley which isnt true to comics at all |

This was a Harley Quinn/Deadshot film
|
In that case, I'd rather watch Margot Robbie and Will Smith fuck.
|
The film was actually really good if you're into cliche action flicks.
The lowkey love story shit was kind of annoying aside from a few other things but Leto didn't bomb on his Joker performance and the movie wasn't dragged out so I honestly wasn't that disappointed. I don't know what else people expected from it. |
the action was either wildly bland and unexciting
or, in the case of the final fight sequence (and a lot of the other fight scenes), you can barely see what's going on? not even the action scenes were good |

Facts It's the 1st movie. It's supposed to be terrible and leave the audience in suspense. It's a Sequel marketing tactic. |
Jack Nicholson put a lot of himself into the Joker performance. Which work, because well he's Jack Nicholson. Heath Ledger, on the other hand, created an entire new weirdo persona unlike anything we've seen anybody do before when it came to the Joker. And it totally worked. And was creepy, and funny, and brutal. Which is hard to encompass in one character.
He blew the shit out of Nicholson's performance. It's really not even worth arguing. |
I beg to differ.
I wasn't entirely impressed with Ledgers roll, tbh. I mean it was good, just not as good as some of you make it out to be. But then again this is NC, majority of you all think alike, so it's not surprising. Shout out to @Destroyer for acknowledging his kids going to be a bitch already, tho LOL JK, old man. |
I'm honestly stunned that you were capable of learning how to use a computer.
|
He's a real person.
In life. He is out there. Scary isn't it...? |
Also maybe if ledgers roll were more cart wheelesque u'd be more impressed?
|
As a movie it was ASS, as comic book fan service it was actually KIND OF dope.
DC seems to be rushing as much IP onto screen as possible, creating a convoluted mess that is their cinematic universe. Deadshot should've been a singular movie & Harley/Joker's story should've been a "Mad Love" movie. |
DC should stick to TV and let Marvel do movies.
Having said that, I haven't seen this yet. |
