Dude this is a cringefest waiting to happen

But shit niggas be curious

dead man 02-05-2014 01:04 AM

had no idea this was happening

noice

oats 02-05-2014 01:05 AM

exactly how I feel. I can't for the life of me take creationism seriously as a science - and having taught science, it's a complete mystery how I could even teach creationism. Like, chapter 1, the universe was created, and now it's here. The end. idk, seems ridiculous, and so far haven't heard anything very compelling from the creationist. I'm hoping he does say something though.

Sharp 02-05-2014 01:06 AM

was totally going to haha... putting it off til tomorrow but I can take a stab at how it ends

Masaii 02-05-2014 01:12 AM

another religion vs science thread?

cmon guys.

oats 02-05-2014 01:15 AM

I actually genuinely appreciate the existence of religion, and think there is much of value to religious participation. but it's not an acceptable foundation for science.

Bill Nye, from what I gather from following him on twitter, is a legit and respected scientist, yes.

I will definitely watch this later, I hope Bill goes in.

oats 02-05-2014 01:12 PM

@Bags Bill Nye was an aeronautical engineer for Boeing before he created his show. He's a legitimate scientist. But @uh-oh is correct - there were many opportunities where Bill could've gone for the jugular but didn't. He's a great ambassador for science, and came off as very respectful, but was at times too nice I think. Still easily won though imo.

veritas 02-05-2014 01:21 PM

I differ. Evolution takes more faith to believe than creation.

Alphabet 02-05-2014 01:32 PM

lol attt the tag.

and @Masaii dope shit one that article, basically what I've believed since I was a child.. cool to see similar ideologies coming to light and getting notice in the scientific community.

Ghost1 02-05-2014 04:15 PM

LOL yes. The world of science has finally recognized your ideoligies from daycare.

uh-oh 02-05-2014 04:23 PM

i watched probably 2/3 of this earlier

the creationists are insane. bill nye is logical. nothing surprising to see here
