Art of Writing League (Who's Interested?)
 

It's about time we start another writer's league. I know we are the best on the net in regards to dope writers. I feel it's about time. I am not sure who would like to help me get this started but I will do my best to run it. I will need help with topics each week, y'all can send me your pics and topics and I will randomize them. I am willing to host a weekly/bi-weekly video mag as well as provide video votes for at least one battle or more each round.
If we have serious interest I can get this started by Mid-Late August but will someone else has the time to begin running this league earlier, please be my guest, I just want to write.

I don't know if you guys are aware or not but the records/accomps from the last AOWL still haven't been updated (I've been trying, trust me). Starting another one before those stats are implemented seems like overkill right now to me.

Plus, I know your heart's in the right place, Rock... but I don't see you successfully running this long-term... You even mentioned yourself you would need help, and people picking their own topics for you to randomize wouldn't be the solution, imo. (Although your audio votes and breakdowns are dope af and would add a lot) Remember, the last AOWL nearly killed Adverse... Dude checked himself into a mental hospital in Colorado Springs after and has been there ever since. (I've visited him twice with signed, printed out copies of my Open Mics he has missed out on, which he greatly appreciated.)

Anyway, Answer is off his meds again and running a ppv on RR so maybe sign up over there for now if you want to write.

sent adverse a pm/discord message saying 'what do you want me to do with the records' then walked off into the sunset saying 'my job here is done'

I got my records updated by simply asking in the records update thread, so sharp, or whoever's doing it, please don't double down on mine.
Rock this idea sounds good on paper but remember how dead the last league was? Not sure if it's viable.

Only discrepancy I found was Hush's record should be 1-2 not 1-3 - But with his 'Who Cares' battle record I guess it doesn't really matter... and yeah exclude PA as, inexplicably, his record was updated already... But other than that it looks good to me.

Once that's sorted out, maybe a Black August single elimination topical tourney would be better suited here rather than a full on league.... if there's enough interest, someone to run it, etc

I would participate. I did pretty well in the RBL topical league at a point.

I feel you, but I think it's worth a try if I have a co-host or partner to run things. I know some of y'all got mad topical imagery stashed away...I could find some but that in itself can be quite time intensive.

Haha...yeah, I recall the last time I visited him and he was in a stray jacket twitching while mumbling to himself something about hair, time, and votes. I started to tell him a story about a bald man who began to sprout whiskers on the top center of his dome and he cheered up immediately and became coherent (it was a miracle).
