Right, I don't think y'all understand how short 30 feet is to a fucking tiger

by your logic, if the tiger is only 30 ft away when he starts charging u, it's easier to hit him. but at one point the lion in the vid WAS only 30 ft away. and they didn't hit him hard enough during the time he needed to run the 30 ft directly up to them. as a matter of fact, they didn't even hit him during the time he needed to close a distance of more than a 100 ft.

you need to think abotu what your saying...hitting a target thirty feet away is much easier then a target a hundred feet away right? and the uzi is a better up close gun then the rifle. its not hard to figure out bro a close up target is much easier to hit then a further away one

Do any of you have that knowledge? Cuz I don't....and I don't know anybody who does.

just because YOU dont know anyone with that knowledge, doesnt mean i dont.

remember we had a discussion like this before? dont assume based on your experience solely?

an uzi is a close quarters weapon, it is much more accurate when you take in the fact a single trigger pull can throw out 30 bullets. you can shoot from the hip and be more accurate than with a rifle at 30 feet

i honestly do not know about this. but if 5 men with rifles didn't hit the lion in its brain, i doubt that one man with an uzi will.

they were using rifles

there is a reason the military carries pistols and other close combat weapons, at a certain range its just inefficient to try using a long rifle

give one of those hunters an uzi and he's painting the sand red

But that's looking past things like...infected cuts with nothing to disinfect them - death....winter months, regardless of whether you have a shelter or not, you could still easily die from the cold..no heating, no oil, no nothing - death. Relying on being able to find things to kill during those months without having a knowledge of the area or which animals are where in which seasons - Death.

The list goes on and on...it is not just a case of hunting and eating and building a house lol there are so many more factors to take into account...we don't have this knowledge any more, we don't get taught how to do these things. We get sick, we go see a doctor. We get cold, we get someone to fix the heating, we get too warm, we get someone to put air conditioning in. Tiny little things that we take for granted could easily kill us in nature.

You may survive, but the odds are you and everyone with you will die.

But instinct is useless without knowledge...instinct will make us try to eat and survive, but without the knowledge of HOW to do it...what use is that?

Well done him...I'm not saying it can't happen or doesn't happen, I'm saying if me or you had been in that position we would more than likely not be here today.

just like the average man who listens to tech 9 is white

its science bro!

but yo let me ask you this, do you know your enviornment? i dont know where you live, but do you know the native animals and plants and shit?

i live in ohio yo, im in the city but im a short drive from da stickssss

i know whats around here. deers, squirrels, rabbits, chipmonks, mice, coyotes. tons of birds, all of which you can eat. give me a fucking bb gun and half a day and i'll feed a family of 4, 40 birds lol. fucking TURKEYS etc, no natural predators because we hunted them to extinction

i wouldnt know what plants to eat tho, but i know what a maple tree looks like. so im having fucking sweet cardinal yo marinated in maple syrup

all they put on tv is survival shows for the past 10 years

i think the average dude would do alright

like you said the worst thing is infections and shit, but AYO, thats been our nemesis forever. even when we did have "survival instincts" by your standards a simple cut on your foot could mean death

well, i do actually believe u. i don't know for a fact how accurate an uzi is at close range. personally, i still doubt u are gonna be able to hit a tiger so accurately that he will die before he can kill u. but whether or not u can be so accurate is highly speculative and in the end determined by sheer chance and luck. so i won't continue to talk ab this. lol

gd points tho, friends.

Lol you are reaching now.

Do you know what I mean by the average man?

I am not talking about you or me or anyone in particular...I'm talking about the average, 9-5 worker, sitting in an office, with healthcare and dental care, if they had to fend for themselves the odds are they would not survive because they don't know how to.

And also, when we DID live in the wild and hunted to live we knew which things were poisonous, we also knew which things would help with illnesses, we had knowledge of medicinal plants that the average man does not have any more. You're delusional if you think we could just step out into nature and be ok....we are not conditioned for it, we don't have the knowledge to survive.

Again...when I say the average man I mean the typical man, I'm aware there are people who could survive but if you picked a random person and put him in that environment he would be more likely to die than survive...that is just the truth lol

Also, good luck surviving in the wild based on half baked knowledge gained from a TV show.

actually them tv shows and movies can teach you how to start fires, skin animals etc.

also if your so sheltered that you can not figure out how to make shelter, hunt for food, know atleast 1 to 2 good berries and etc then i feel sorry because thats not an average human

But that isn't enough to survive for longer than maybe a few days tho.

Eventually, the odds are you will die.

you highly underestimate the ability of man maybe its just different in ireland

Just got reminded of a quote from Bear Grylls (One of the world's leading survivalists) from a UK panel show based on opinion polls, when asked if people thought they would survive in the wilderness.

"I think most people probably think they could survive, but I think they probably could not"

Go and live in nature for a few weeks, with nothing but your clothes and your mind...then come back to me.

The average person does not have that knowledge tho lol

What is it about the word average that people don't get? The average man (not based on your environment, nor mine, nor anyone else here...I am talking about the basic survival knowledge of a random man you see on the streets) does not know how to skin a fucking squirrel lol

I spent most of my summers in forests, camping and building shelters, making fires, catching rabbits and shit.

But doing that is MUCH different than LIVING in the wilderness. we have comforts and luxuries that we are so used to and accustomed to that most of us just would not know what to do or how to survive for any significant length of time.
