Kids like Cake and Split say such stupid things because they've lived their entire lives with an internet. They don't know life without it and what a true revolution this whole thing has been. Our generation watched it all happen from childhood through high school. That's why I hate seeing myself or anyone born in the early 80s get lumped in with "millenials". I grew up with commies trying to nuke me, newfangled touchtone telephones, tvs with UHF and VHF knobs, VHS and mixtape cassettes, saturday morning cartoons, video arcades and pinball machines, DARE/McGruff, staying out until the street light came on, pay phones, and a whole host of other things the "millenials" have no experience with.

They're from an entirely different planet with on demand access to everything, "terrorism" / "zero tolerance", and an always-on, always-available social and informational web with unlimited information. They sure as hell didn't spend $2000 on Encyclopedia Brittanica or learn the Dewey Decimal system and Card Catalogs.. or buy their stuff from the JC Penney catalog..

I wanted to call in sick today but I had some deadlines to hit.

I might call in tomorrow to make up for it.

Makes sense in my mind. Equilibrium and shit.

I think El Pancake is planning to close it Friday or something like that.

Mike Wrecka 03-05-2014 04:38 PM

this one thread is better than the whole discussion forum. here its normal adult people being chill and in there its well the opposite

@oats , I am a teacher as well. personally I wouldn't want to do more with my life. its the best job on the planet imo. I work 181 days a year. if I choose to not to do summer school. and I get off at 3 PM everyday. its the job that allows me to work the least and still make a decent living

now if only my wife could get a job in a school things would be incredible. while im on vacation she is usually working. that's why you see so many married teacher couples.

I just figured it was because even teachers wanted to fuck the hot teacher.
