Diode 12-01-2013 03:06 AM

having verses due during a holiday week is a load of shit

if you plan on having playoff matches during christmas/new year's week just drop me from this thing, i'll be up north and i'll be god damned if i am staying up until 3am on no sleep for a fucking text tournament because keeping your league schedule is more important than anything else in your life

si joto, i am mad.

Certain 12-01-2013 03:07 AM

You had an entire week. You are allowed to write on Tuesday. Several members did.

It'll be Mike Wrecka's call, but I'm guessing the tournament will be more flexible because it's a tournament.

Because putting this ahead of visiting family is a totally reasonable expectation.

Get a fucking life, dudes. I don't want to hear that shit at all.

Certain 12-01-2013 03:12 AM

A league needs to run on schedule. If it doesn't, it fails. You and 15 out of 18 members made it work this week. Thank you for that.

I'm not talking about Christmas or the playoffs here, and as I edited my response to say, that will be Mike Wrecka's call and will have the flexibility of being a tournament.

But yes, the topics were up for a long time. You made time for other sections of the board somehow. And you wrote your verse. I get that it's a tough time of year. Thank you for showing.

edited because i don't want to sway anything. there is a huge difference between a quick comment and dedicating time to writing a verse, though.

e11even 12-01-2013 03:36 AM

@Frank. Thanks for showing. Good luck bro.

ThisisDAM 12-01-2013 03:50 AM

Seriously, wow

Adonis 12-01-2013 10:37 AM

Hi diode

I heart you!

I would imagine the majority agrees with you evidennced by the amount of verses not thoroughly writen; however, calm yo self wigga

Thanks, and fuck Bama

Probably the nutttiest ending to any game I've ever seen personally, nay, :03 fisher was cuz I was vested, but this aa close 2nd

Zen 12-01-2013 11:30 AM

Diode's right. I thought about the playoffs last night and how they would be during Christmas. Fuck that. I don't have time for it. I'll just wait for the next tourney.

breathless 12-01-2013 01:08 PM

Wait, Buddha is zenland? And, hey, you got a vote, anything's still possible brohammer

Zen 12-01-2013 01:36 PM

It's possible, but I don't have the drive to compete right now at all so I'd rather not take a win from someone who does ya dig? I also was pissed at my personal shit being called "somewhat genuine" and "cliche". But I'm sure Certain meant no harm by it, just mentally my head is not into writing in the league at the moment. I'm more focused on fleshing out my opinions instead of my usual multi-focused braggadocio type shit.

dead man 12-01-2013 02:08 PM

still waiting on @Genocide's confirmation of our spotlight match this upcoming week

or at least an active denial.

either one will do.

Battle pent if not..those are always dope reads

Also, how. Was my bro's instrumental album??? You like it?

Certain 12-01-2013 02:21 PM

Buddha, most people's personal shit is cliche.

Certain 12-01-2013 02:22 PM

Also, I'm not sure if Mike Wrecka is around (as he was dealing with personal matters, not just holiday stuff), but one way or another, the playoff schedule will be unveiled tonight along with sign-ups.

He said no. I thought reply-all worked on private messages, but I guess it doesn't.

It's all good say no more. Like I said shit is just weighing on my mind right now heavily. I'll be back next season.

Nigma 12-01-2013 03:43 PM

The outcome of a battle isn't decided by who deserves it, its decided by who had a better showing in the battle. Forfeiting a battle underway isn't even a thing, thats like making a bet in poker then folding.

breathless 12-01-2013 04:08 PM

@Buddha You could always just edit your verse and get dqed if you end up with more votes

Certain has that effect on ppl. He said the same about me two pieces ago lol. I guess cps and impoverished strife is too 'mainstream' of a lifestyle. Meh... but I digress.

Zen 12-01-2013 06:13 PM

I feel ya. I just feel like fleshing out my own voice as a writer for awhile instead of mini-movies in rap form lol. I should have some audio coming soon for y'all to check out too.

Certain 12-01-2013 06:13 PM

It's not the life. It's how you write it.

We're all cliches. No one is special. But if you focus on how you're just slightly different from other people, you draw out the interesting stuff.

Now that gets a real 'lol'.

dead man 12-01-2013 06:18 PM

We are all unique and beautiful snowflakes

Zen 12-01-2013 06:24 PM

We are all unique. Certain says we're not special just slightly different. Doesn't that make us special?

Lol. Thus far, the only things to frighten me were Chucky and seeing 45 year old men don Star Wars costumes. Beyond that, I'll probably fare well...

Did I really just say fare well? smh...

Some of them are so nice you almost forget they haven't showered in awhile. Almost.

Ewwww nice. There's a first time for everything. I'd try it just ta see for myself lol. It'd probably be more enjoyable if I was impaired in some way. Liquor would be my drug of choice. Turns me to an interracial man of mystery. A very likable one at that.

Zen 12-01-2013 06:50 PM

I always get pumpkin pie moonshine if I want liquor there. That and acid equals a very good night.

Zen 12-01-2013 06:52 PM

lol@interracial man of mystery

Certain 12-01-2013 07:32 PM

I'm an interracial man of normalcy.

King Ra. 12-01-2013 08:06 PM

The fuck is wrong with you niggas.

Mike Wrecka 12-01-2013 08:29 PM

playoff verses will be due according to this schedule

First round: Battles posted Wednesday, Dec. 4; verses due Sunday, Dec. 8; voting ends Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Second round (quarterfinals): Battles posted Thursday, Dec. 12; verses due Monday, Dec. 16; voting ends Saturday, Dec. 21.

Third round (semifinals): Battles posted Sunday, Dec. 22; verses due Sunday, Dec. 29; voting ends Sunday, Jan. 5.

Fourth round (championship): Battle posted Monday, Jan. 6; verses due Saturday, Jan. 11; voting ends Saturday, Jan. 18.

Diode 12-01-2013 08:32 PM

it would be in your interest to delay the third round for one week.

unless your schedule > quality of writing.

like it was this week.

We're talking three days before Christmas and three days after to write. A full week built around one day. That seems perfectly reasonable, even with the holiday. And then there's another full week for voting to allow for New Year's.

Do you get a full week off from work for Christmas? If so, where do you work? Sign me up.
