So you retract your previous statement about being certain there is no God then yes?

Thank you, Bleak and Veritas, for getting back to the heart of the matter.

Wern't you just arguing about faith?

Is faith a certainty? Or a choice to believe.

I am certain everyone has faith. Is that what you mean?

I’m not sure I know how to answer this.

Twodrop 07-11-2018 10:30 PM

If bleak isn't allowed certainty, how can u claim it?

If you believe god exists, that is ur personal faith/belief.

I don't get ur evangelical motives.

I merely pointed out that he contradicted himself in two consecutive posts. This is about him. Not me.

As for me being certain of faith that is a different topic.

Twodrop 07-11-2018 10:32 PM

but why does it upset you to the point of ranting for 3-4 pages... that someone doesn't believe in ur god.

veritas 07-11-2018 10:35 PM

It doesn’t upset me in the way you think it upsets me. I just ask questions really.

My faith is ironclad. So is everyone’s. Everyone has faith.

you can't say you're not certain about "a gods" existence but say you're certain no one can possibly be right.

Y’all talk about the same fucking shit in every thread, cut it out

That's why I said if, and my stetament was more in the sense of:

How can u tell me I'm wrong when no one really knows? My OPINION is that there is no God, just like V's OPINION is that there for sure is. I'm saying no one can be certain so it's more like arguing over if the Rams or 49er's will be better this season as opposed to arguing if... sunlight exists or some shit.

When honestly the burden of proof is on Veritas. There is tons more evidence to support there not being a God then there is to argue the point.

Edit: tons was a strong word

~RustyGunZ~ 07-12-2018 12:07 AM

Beliefs and faith aren't things to be argued. They don't need evidence to support their claims. That's why agnostic and atheist folks get no where in debates with religious folk.

Belief =/= opinion

It can not be swayed. It's a waste of time for anyone to tell someone who has faith and belief in a cause or person that they're wrong.

Don't be like Destroyer and uh-oh. Just let the man believe what he wants to believe and be aware enough to know if you can't say there is or isn't a God, than you can't say that his idea of God isn't possibly correct. If you don't have faith in anything, that's your choice that no one needs to know about unless you want to take a leap of faith.

bleak 07-12-2018 12:12 AM

Well worded and fair play

Amen 07-12-2018 06:15 AM

There definitely is a higher power. Whether it's god, gods, aliens - SOMETHING exists.

Witty 07-12-2018 06:39 AM

Amen has spoken.

Thread over.

The rest of y'all take some Apple Cider Vinegar and shut the fuck up.

Bitch. I have never faulted anyone for their beliefs
I only stand up when veritas starts spouting how he “knows the truth.”
Nobody knows shit.

uh-oh 07-12-2018 06:44 AM

I KNOW THE TRUTH

Destroyer 07-12-2018 06:45 AM

lol. Of course I meant “except uh-oh”

Nobody knows shit.

You disrespect his beliefs by belittling his faith.

Destroyer 07-12-2018 07:57 AM

I do not
But if one purports to know the “truth,” they better be prepared to engage in rational discourse
If simply asking questions “belittles one’s faith,” well,...

Dude, you argue that his faith is either wrong or needs to be backed by facts nonstop in multiple threads for pages and pages. Don’t act like you make mild mannered inquiries lmao.

Destroyer 07-12-2018 08:01 AM

If you actually read what I say to him, I think you’d see that I don’t assert the falsity of his beliefs, but I do challenge him to explain the rationale that leads him to accept them.
I only get irate when he asserts the possession of knowledge that no one has.

That “knowledge no one has” is his faith. He doesn’t owe you an explanation, nor does any religious person.

Destroyer 07-12-2018 08:50 AM

Hey knuck, are you just trying to engage everyone on the site simultaneously or what?

Destroyer 07-12-2018 08:51 AM

Or are you legit telling me that faith equates to knowledge?

~RustyGunZ~ 07-12-2018 08:56 AM

I’m on here, why wouldn’t I give my 2 cents on whatever is being said? Lurking is just weird lol.

I’m telling you that faith literally means

2. strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof.

It doesn’t need evidence. It doesn’t need to justify itself to you.

YOU are saying it SHOULD equate to knowledge and that’s why you unsuccessfully argue against it.

*and, not respecting what it is makes you a douchebag. You’re equally as much of an asshat as trumpians when they question and insult people of Islamic faith. Stop being a douchebag.

Amen 07-12-2018 08:57 AM

Lol, jesus christ.

Destroyer 07-12-2018 09:05 AM

Lmao
Ok knuck
I don’t have the time or desire to list what makes you a douchebag
We’ll have to disagree to disagree
