well that's you boss. this is the worst period in american history as far as wage inequality so i'd rather try something suggested by somebody i believe to be a lot smarter than most, backed by almost 200 top economists, than do nothing in fear of making it worse. it can't get much worse. i'd rather not depend on these morally bankrupt corporations for whatever type of financial stability you think they're giving our country.

~RustyGunZ~ 05-06-2016 07:35 PM

I don't think they're stable nor do they give a shit about this country but trying to take more from them when they go to great lengths to avoid paying what they're already required to isn't going to help any. I think you're taking me saying it won't work as I don't wish it would. I'm just a realist.

The Stat you posted would be much worse of they were taxed more. You're mad we pay taxes to offset their greed but think that raising that will help. In the end even more money will be taken from you to cover the billions they're hiding in even deeper holes.

so please, do tell me how kowtowing to people who are greedy, have no consequences for their actions, and will just keep taking more until there is nothing left... is better than taking a stand against them. doing nothing has a definitive ending in which they have all. doing something could at least end up with an alternative finale.

fair?

when these are the law, they will either pay or move. tax shaming has caught fire recently, and multiple companies have already paid or agreed to paying their share, and i haven't read about any negative repercussions, 7 months later.

so i'll keep supporting it

as a Bernie supporter from day 1, it truly baffles me that other Bernie supporters wouldn't vote for Hillary if/when she gets the nomination. Bernie has done well to push her into a more progressive stance on a lot of issues (though, as we all know, campaigning politicians are very different than elected politicians), but to think Bernie running as an independent would do anything but make it easier for Trump to win is naive. a Sanders landslide in California would be great, but I'm not holding my breath. while socially California is as liberal as it gets, there are a lot of rich people in the state, many of whom I suspect will prefer Hillary. we'll see though, I'm still gunning for the Sand man.

though I should add, if Bernie doesn't get the nomination, I strongly doubt he will run as a third party candidate.

boof 05-07-2016 02:37 AM

bro all things considered i really don't think trump is worse than hillary at this point. i could never vote for either. bernie pushed her left while campaigning, she's just repeating everything he says to keep as many votes as her surname got her in the first place. you know she's not really going to break up any banks or stop any wars, i highly doubt she'll do anything for mass incarceration or anything race related. and i know she's not going to do shit as far as tax loopholes or campaign finance reform, she's one of the people using them to her advantage. the pettiness of her campaign makes me hate her as a person and as a politican. i only hate trump as a politician.

bernie or bust

So the pettiness of Hillary Clinton's campaign makes you hate her as a person, while the pettiness of Donald Trump's campaign (which is so much louder, more degrading and more full of lies) does not.

Also, while Clinton may do none of those things, Trump also will not do any of those things and will seek to institute his hate-filled agenda.

A Clinton presidency likely means a holding pattern. A Trump presidency likely means two to three steps the wrong way. My biggest worry is global diplomacy. The world hates Trump and will hate him even more when he is the person they have to deal with on important diplomatic initiatives.

No one likes Clinton. At least she won't embarrass us and make bad situations worse.

oats 05-07-2016 09:31 AM

Donald Trump on climate change: "The concept of Global Warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make US manufacturing noncompetitive."

Hillary Clinton on climate change: "Global change is the most consequential sweeping collection of challenges we face as a nation and a world."

i just don't think the government can or will do anything about it

the only option at this point is become slaves or rebel

Destroyer 05-07-2016 12:24 PM

that would be the only option for a country without an elected official political system.
as we are one, it's not even close to the "only" option

~RustyGunZ~ 05-07-2016 12:28 PM

clearly it doesn't work

#trump2016

Destroyer 05-07-2016 12:47 PM

it's literally working right now
to say it doesn't work is just plain wrong
could it work better? certainly. is it working? most definitely

oats 05-07-2016 12:56 PM

I'm doubtful that Bernie will get the nom, but if his campaign results in a congressional overhaul, he will have been a success.

If Trump wins... Damn, guys, you did it. You actually did it... You managed to fuck up everything. I've yet to speak to a person outside of the US regardless of where on the political spectrum they're at that believes he's a good option for president. Holy fucking shit.

PancakeBrah 05-09-2016 05:30 PM

Believe you me, Objective, the good Americans know Trump is a jokeboy.

Everything is already fucked.

veritas 05-09-2016 09:45 PM

Let's assume that either would actually do what they said they would. If so I choose donald. Let us get ww3 going....if we are going to have to fight the Muslims let us fight as men!

uh-oh 05-09-2016 09:47 PM

I hope trump wins so the rest of the world views us as idiots, and then they can live with the fact that a country of idiots is responsible for their entire existence

On a serious note, america has never been better. Thats why we have the candidates we have.

No one gives a shit. They are too busy just living their lives, enjoying american football and american tv etc. We have dope technology rolling out left and right, dope games and entertainment. We have land for outdoor activities and etc. Basically as americans we just enjoy life. Like me. Its monday. I worked 8-5 and took a class after on panel bonding/seam sealing shit. Now im at home smoking a cig drinking a budweiser like a god damn american.

Tomorrow i will finish working on this barracuda restoratio . I got this fucker flat as shit. It was wavy and dinged up. But i do all bodywork now outside of welding and enjoy it. Making 12 an hour. Working 46 hours a week. Enjoying it.

High school dropout. Got everything i want in life except a harem of brazilians

Quit bitching america
