yeah it really depends which parts you go to. I drove down to Paintsville (southwest KY) last summer cuz I was bored never been there or heard of it and knew a bitch that had some weed...stayed a weekend there and was like "what the fuck did I just time travel from 4 hours to 40 years?"
they had fuckin mines and shit that ppl still worked in, ALL sounded like they learned English from larry the cable guy, and nobody even knew what an actual city looked like. they said "lets go in to the city and find something to do..."
no exaggeration, there was less than 15 buildings total, 3 were trailers, 1 was a walmart, 2 was a gas station, and the rest were historical shit that was closed cuz it was after 5pm. wtf
