HAHA ITS TRUE

A man is facing a criminal charge after he was caught allegedly trying to have sex with a sheep.

The 34-year-old Mid Canterbury man appeared in the Ashburton District Court on July 26.

He was remanded on bail on one charge of attempting to commit an act of indecency with a sheep.

The lawyer representing the man applied for a suppression order prohibiting the publication of his name, occupation and address after the Herald on Sunday started making inquiries about the incident.

It is understood a woman jogging saw the alleged incident on the outskirts of a small town, about an hour away from Christchurch, and reported it to police.

Ashburton Sergeant Victoria Walker refused to comment on the case as it was before the courts.

The man has applied for legal aid and will reappear in court on August 23. He is the second person to be charged in relation to having sex with animals in Canterbury this year.

In April a 16-year-old youth appeared in the Christchurch District Court charged with bestiality after allegedly having sex with a four-year-old donkey he had taken into the middle of a suburban reserve.

The youth has since admitted the offence and undergone a court-ordered psychiatric evaluation.

I have been living in Brisbane approx the last 2 years and for 2 years before that in various towns across North Queensland. Australia has a high standard of living even in the small country towns where there is only one post office, main street and a market. Opportunity for good work both skilled and unskilled is high and the culture most closely resembles U.S.A and England. The infrastructure/facilities and even the Australian government that Australian news often complains about is good when compared to other countries where we cannot go one election without a corruption scandal or inflation crisis. Some interesting things: strong workaholics, funny game Cricket (played for 5 days complete with scheduled meal breaks), in some areas the soil is unbelievably red and rich, and yes those stories of coming close to the wildlife can be true (I have been within 10 meters of wild Kangaroos - they were just relaxing lying down - in the outer suburbs of a town called Bundaberg). For holiday in Australia here are some places that were great and they have great beaches: Fraser Island, Gold Coast (big nightlife too), Mooloolaba and Cairns (not so much beach but rainforest).

Update: there was a program called Immigration Nation on SBS just 30mins ago, it was discussing the "white Australia policy" during 1940's+. Very interesting documentary.

10 meters is a good viewing distance but I wouldn't call it close. Either way some males get very territorial and have been known to tear open peoples abdomens with their claws, so getting too close isn't something you want to risk

Ahhh!!! my abdomen!

Who the fuck wants to admit they were killed by a goofy ass kangaroo?
