Aside from my blatant racism, he is Furious Styles and everyone needs to respect that

i watched a really bad horror movie from the 80's called demons i think when i was maybe 6 or 7 and it ruined me for weeks afterward. legit the scariest thing ever.

the first halloween, it, pet sematary and the exorcist i watched very young some time after that, they had similar but not quite as soul-destroying results.

the shining, the descent, 28 days later, the ring (japanese original), train to busan, get out, the endless are the only 'horror' flicks (using the term loosely for some of these) i can actually remember enjoying, and that's probably because i was an adult at the time.

psychological shit > gorefests.

the endless in particular is actually a brilliant film.

The Endless was fucking dope for the first half and then it got way too weird. Similar to its predecessor, forget the name.

EDIT: Resolution, that’s the name of it.

I fell off on scary movies mad long time ago. I just finished reading house of leaves and that shit chilled me to my core. I kinda wish there was some movies similar to it although it's a bit of a hodgepodge of various horror tropes. My kid made me watch conjuring 3 the other night ....it was ok

Devil's advocate
Shining
28 days later
Let the right one in (The Swedish original)
Carnival of Souls
Halloween
Lighthouse

Those came to mind, got to think about the last three. Does Melancholia count?

i lthought both them flicks were dope for how weird they got - while still walking the line of realism for most part

Lol @ requiem for a dream as a horror movie…

But I guess if you think about it, it is indeed a horror movie… extremely realistic
