I don't know her situation - if she's got family around or whatever. What she's going through right now would be fuckig awful. Maybe she feels like Strik's abandoning her by voluntarily going away, right when she needs him most. I'm not defending her cheating if that's what she's doing... But reaching out for support and comfort, if that's the situation, is understandable
