Kendrick and Tupac are artists, not your average rapper, which makes them boring at times because they actually provoke thought which some are unable to interpret and shit can be ehh or fire

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t like Kendrick much and Tupac made classic hits, but this is the era we live in

You have to decipher the difference

where though

youtube? soundcloud? pandora? tidal? 107.9? lol which platforms? thats just feeding into my point of him not being able to have the same impact because the impactful platforms are too spread out and everything is watered down

me not being 100 percent up on every new artist just futher proves my whole argument, im hearing the mainstream music, there are no kendricks but kendrick. the majority is garbage interspersed with some talent but very different artists like chance and j cole. ive heard more chance clones than kendricks progeny

i see them on instagram mostly. i've seen a handful of cats with semi-big numbers basically steal his whole style. it's actually super dope most of the time but they get negged for style jackin in my book

Kendrick has great stuff, which is mostly overproduced if you ask me, but they are not comparable personality wise at the very least. Their paths are different and so is their muisc. Kendrick also 30 years old which all you older mfs know your mind at 25 didn't know shit compared to your 30 year old mind.

Look up some strictly for my niggas tracks, then I look up me against the world, THEN listen to hit em up. No rapper up until, during, or after is versatile like that. Trap niggas rap trap. Underground niggas rap underground. Pac had turmoil and insight, also solutions to the complaints he had about society.

Kendricks lyrics could be Pulitzer prize winning and most raw and insightful right now, but tbh at his age it damn well should be.

Unrelated here but from reading this (I apologize if misinterpreted wrong).....but it seems to be you think 2Pac is the best rapper ever?

Right well to me its pretty contradictory to post and say something is stupid without even explaing or better yet just posting your opinion like everyone else.

Of course, the problem is u comparing a lyricist great to a overall great. Aside from the top notch production even a kendrick type lyricist can be beaten. And if you comparing bar for bar kendrick good but I can pull 10 lyricist names out of a hat that could keep stride with kendrick.

Mac lethal could keep stride with kendrick, you dig what I'm saying. There's more then that.

WRATH 04-20-2018 01:59 AM

Kendrick has 2pac heart but not 2pac spirit. Closest we've gotten as an overall but there's a difference

maybe on technicalities of flow and rhythm but not with original effective song writing unique cadences new deliveries or story telling not even fucking closee

boof 04-20-2018 05:05 AM

story telling wise kendrick is close af to pac he's just not as simple so not as universal but damn close for someone taking a more complicated approach
