btw there are different ways to pass guard into a chickenwing. Depends whether its with a gi or without. Can be locked in from the side, behind or standing up. The latter is more so self defense training

You can pass guard into side control and lock in a chickenwing using the opponents gi to wrap their outside arm. Jiu jitsu 101
