I'm jealous of Malachi because he is listening to so many awesome albums for the very first time, I wish I could do that again.
|
Nah.
Hes wasting them. Hes blitzing thru like 5 classics a day Classics that deserve minimum 12months replay. I dont envy, young pisspants daunting task at all. I rip thru albums like that now trynna keep up with new shit and blaze thru shit wothout absorbing it. It's a shame. |
but if i did that i would be at like 5 rap albums lol
yeah it does suck tho bout to go in on this nas discog tho I am.. |
When I was digging through the old stuff, I had a 56K modem that basically made it impossible to download more than one album a day, but I mostly bought CDs (a lot of them used). That forced me to really listen to stuff. You're going too quick to really appreciate things. That's why you don't like Ghostface Killah and GZA. They take time.
|
ok
how about 1 album a day? a week? this does happen sometimes i remember i listened to ready to die one time and i was like nah then i came back and i was like yooooooooooooo lol |
Listen to an album at least three times before putting it aside. You can listen to other stuff in between, too, but don't discard classics.
|
its just i want more and more and more.. sometimes until my head cant take no more
but ok ok |

what albums could u reccomend |
You've listened to Goodie Mob's Soul Food? Try Still Standing.
|
You'd be surprised how much you'll still get to even by taking 2-3 days to 'absorb' an album. It just seems like a daunting task if you look it at too far out. Appreciate it.
I'm in the same boat as Bags, just ripping through albums. He hit it right on the head but I'm not going to quote that post. Well done @Ghost1 |
D-12 devils night listen to 3 times

Yes. I had him as my avatar for a bit.
|
Pancake. U sly dog.
|
I should prolly go back to doris for a full listen like i thought it was doppe track wise but like i wasnt feelin it at the same time as like a whole project
|
It wasn't as good as it should have been. @PancakeBrah is right. There were too many guest appearances.
|
it felt short to me yea.
i wouldve like the intro more but that featured was too badd the other features were cool what are your thought on joey bada$$ |
He's OK. It's tough to judge someone that young, especially when they haven't made a proper album yet. But I like Chance The Rapper much more.

these beats on I am...
are kinda weak |
Nas hasn't had good beats since Illmatic. Too much Trackmasters (Poke & Tone) back then, too much Salaam Remi since about 2000.
|
and why is nas rapping over wack beats
|
He's been trying to make a push into a more mainstream audience (like Jay Z) forever. But the same beats that sound good for Jay Z don't work for Nas. He needs the earthier production, the DJ Premier and Large Professor and L.E.S. stuff.
|
is that why some his flows on some tracks, weak as well
|
Slower, yes. And seriously, don't bother with Nastradamus. There are maybe three songs worth listening to:
