Compare these 2 records: 4-1 (win percentage 80%) and 11-3 (win percentage 79%)

Personally I think 11-3 is more impressive and should be ranked higher than 4-1

With my system it is, with win percentage it's not

Also if you sort by win percentage first then 1-0 will beat 99-1
If you sort by #wins first then 99-98 will beat 98-0

dude the calculations will come out the same both ways, 11-3 will always out rank 4-1 on a win percentage bases, and win percentage would put someone at 99-58 below someone thats 30-0, which is legit to me. 30-0 is more impressive than 99-58.

They wot come out the same- I just showed you: 4-1 is 80% wins, 11-3 is 79%, so by win percentage 4-1 will beat 11-3

And yes 99-58 maybe shouldn't outrank 30-0, but it's more outrageous for 1-0 to outrank 20-1 which is what would happen going by win percent. And those are much more likely figures than yours. My system isn't perfect but it's def better than win percent

its better to go by number of vets beat tho, because 99 could mean that 98 of those came from newbies. but thats a different beast and isn't neccessary.

Yeah I agree... it would be good to have beating a better writer do more for your rank than beating a nobody... but then you have complications like if the vet got lazy and dropped a wack verse or w/e/... and at the end of the day these rankings are just a guide - people know who is ill and who isn't...
