Absolutely we all have opinions, but to say someone who doesn't share that opinion is irrelevant and has no taste in music is dumb and unfounded.

Just saying.

Let's be humble guize.

PancakeBrah 12-15-2013 04:02 PM

Quite.

I'm sure your taste in music sucks too.

been listening to Tyga, Kanye and as usual Cunninglynguists

Not the new Kanye or Tyga though, some older shit

Other than that the newest shit I like (or somewhat new anyways) would be Big KRIT, Curren$y, Intuition, Kendrick, Killer Mike, RA the Rugged Man

Le$ dropped a koo album I liked a few months back

That's pretty much the only shit I've liked the past year or so.

True...But if you like Aesop, seeing as how his style I absolutely and hate including anything similar, than to me, your opinion is irrelevant because it's obvious our taste would be polar opposite

Wise Wiggles 12-15-2013 04:13 PM

I like this faggot Adonis, he's rather amusing tbh.

Sorry

I saw someone say something of a def Jux Mt. Rushmore, and cage being good

All of this is horrible, (no offense) white people nerdy rap

Atmosphere is and was the only thing decent that they ever produced album wise.

Atmosphere was Rhymesayers.

It's nice that you think Cannibal Ox is white people nerdy rap. I'll be sure to tell them.

But I like most music. I bet I like many things you like, too.

Your decision to be close-minded holds no bearing on my taste.

Edit:

Certain, I respect your opinion on a lot of things... non-mainstream rap isn't one of them

Did you happen to scroll to the photo of them?

Why does race have to be involved in these discussions? Aceyalone makes some of the nerdiest rap around.

uh-oh 12-15-2013 04:59 PM

when i refer to something as white nerd rap, i'm referring to the audience.

white nerds like it. its white nerd rap

im a white guy. im a nerd too, it isnt a racist thing from my standpoint. its just how i categorize shit where the guy tries to be all deep and smart when he's a bum from iowa

Witty 12-15-2013 05:03 PM

I do it that way too.

Split 12-15-2013 05:07 PM

this thread sucks. make a new one

This

just cuz they're black don't mean they don't make "WhiteHop"

I'm trying to think of a white dude that goes hard on some G shit but I can't...I guess the only thing that comes to mind is Early Em?

Race has nothing to do with it, it's just terminology and how I associate music or group it I guess

Certain 12-15-2013 05:23 PM

I don't think white people like Yelawolf. I don't really think anyone likes Yelawolf.

But I still don't know why race needs to be mentioned. Is there black nerd rap? Or is the association here that only white people can be nerds, or that a black nerd is somehow whiter than a black thug?

Either way, I want @Split Eight to defend his silly dismissal of my underground rap knowledge.

Split 12-15-2013 05:31 PM

I don't have a problem with white nerds who like Aesop Rock. leave them/us be in our little corner of the hip hop scene

I have a problem with the white nerds who like MGK, Mac Miller, etc.

^No you probably know a lot about it and stuff. I just don't think your opinion of what is Good in terms of underground rapper/producer efforts is very.. good

same with modern folk/ indie rock

Pop and old/ vintage are pretty spot on tho

uh-oh 12-15-2013 05:32 PM

black nerd rap is mos def

he's white nerd rap too tho lol

OK, that's reasonable.

Any specific disagreements?
