@namix tl;dr
I will continue to believe this because I can remember seemingly 8 hour long dreams, then later lots and lots of bits and pieces from seemingly totally different dreams the same day after said dream

What really fascinates me is Astral projection though, I've only attempted it at a beginner level.

oooh bro, wasnt tryna take credit or some weird shit --- more like "hey asshole, glad to hear it all worked out for ya!!!" lol :D

man - astral projection - it's not what people think... just get yourself right -- "know thyself' before you relinquish it... it's a dangerous journey man -- can be enlightening or frightening... or a little of both at the same time... will change you forever.

Yeah I've heard this sentiment exactly, in reference to astral projection or the opening chakras what not. There's always some weary disclaimer, and it confuses me. I guess I'll find out on my own

I've only smoked it three times and blasted off each time (3 hits) and each time it's a completely different experience. There's a snuff form you can order online too called yopo. It's usually used by shamans in South America. The height of the yopo trip lasts about ten minutes but for about an hour that you still have some faint visuals and euphoria. I could try to explain my dmt trips but putting it into words makes it sound fake tbh.

I think when the time comes, the substance will find me, you know

Obviously, you need sleep for dreams to occur, but you don't need dreams for sleep to occur.

A Vietnamese man went 33 years without sleeping.

you got good advice from somewhere then bro...

it's all just a springboard for a greater awareness, that if you truly hang on to, will 'free' you from that fear --- because you will "try" to remember to live for others, as it is the same as living for yourself, and that juncture of SELFISHNESS and SELFLESSNESS is a 'spiritual point of singularity', which will always serve as a guiding light when you -- as Zenland said, blast off.... and try to find your way home.

but its a dangerous road man.. just face your demons first. if you dont go through the purging process first, you'll be LUCKY to have a lesser experience 'out there'.... know thyself man, and then you can fearlessly be where you need to be...

personally - i never done dmt, it's "for real" shit man... people think it sounds like fluff or something ---- it's the 3rd closest milestone you get to 'feeling death' before death itself --- that process of letting go is crazy

i'd imagine it feels like the movie "Gravity"... tho i havent seen it yet, it's that feeling of FREE, but alone -- full but empty.. hard to explain, and i assume my experience could be different from those that had DMT, but its prolly not too different....cuz it changed the person i am today.

Zen 10-14-2013 11:31 PM

You'll die without sleep. The Vietnamese man probably just didn't experience rem sleep. There's been people who've went without rem sleep because of brain injuries or strokes even but you'll die without sleeping at all.

That netflix movie about DMT has be kinda of scared to try it. Basically describes it as experiencing the afterlife for a thousand years

man that makes sense to me - for sure

i've never done DMT, again, but that "moment" of "relinquishing" and 'letting go' feels like an acceptance of death man....

and 'up there', there aint time... time is no longer, it IS the afterlife bro

Fart 10-14-2013 11:52 PM

one of the guys they gave the dmt too asked how long he was out, the dr said an hour (i think) and the guy was totally saying he was lying and everything, said that he was whereever he was for at least 1000 years time and was like a god or something...i mean wtf

namix 10-14-2013 11:54 PM

imo there's less good to be gained than bad from that side of things

the awareness to what's accessible 'there' is already available to us all -- whether it's through dreams, or even true meditation.... the whole 'hall of records thing' or the 1000 other names it goes by is accessible through those states IN ALL OF US, as well....

wanna how to find it? start by deductive reasoning.... ask yourself a question, any question. and start breaking it down.... all the points become yes/no, true/false -- boolean code, 0/1 in the end, in a big 'decision tree' of life...

we all float on, so when you chose to do so, do so for the right reasons - most dont need to do it.

That's how I usually describe it as accepting death. Once you hit it there's this overwhelming force that pushes you down. It's literally a force like someone is standing over you holding you down. It's the strangest and most beautiful experiences in my life.

namix 10-14-2013 11:59 PM

um -- i have not smoked pot in a solid month, or anything harder clearly.

but there was just a fucking huge animal on my front lawn breathing like a fucking buffalo with a cold... like huffing.. and then it trotted down the street.

alas, i got my message... that was really fucked up.
