Clinical depression is absolutely real. It's a physiological condition not a psychological one. By which I mean, if you are clinically depressed, no amount of happy thinking is going to help, you have an imbalance of chemicals in your brain, that's what the medication is for.

Trust me, I have tried many times to come off my medication, and I just end up slowly descending in to hell...every time. My medication is also for OCD tho.

It can be cured from with in. No medications going to cure mental illness. It treats the symptoms.

i hear what you are saying, there is just literally 0 science to support this. it is complete guess work. they assume you lack the "normal" amount of serotonin or whatever happy jizz chemical so they put these pills out that "regulate" it.

you got the blood of the irish doggie. i 23andme'd myself and have more than i'd like to admit. we need to work like dogs in the field. you are unhappy because you aren't physically taxing your body and taking heads.

but yea i think its one of the few things you can cure without meds. i willed myself out of depression. i can't will myself out of aids. which i will eventually get probably. i'll give it a shot though
