We're suddenly switching models / floor plans entirely now. I'm not even at the design-the-interior stage yet. My head is ready to explode.

Let me know your experience if you've ever done it before.

That’s what happens where you indecisive! Lol

I’m pretty sure Diode isn’t speaking literally as in swinging Hammers, framing, dry-wallling, plumbing, running wire, etc.

But yea, I’m looking in to new construction now and picking out a layout as well as all the bell and whistle internal bullshit like appliances is already a headache lol.

I wish I had more say in the matter. The model/elevation we want is the model home but we've been beaten to the punch on it anywhere we can build it *and* its next closest alternative. We'd lose the full double porches for only half-ones and lose the 6 french doors onto them for regular windows and one door per porch (the upstairs one would go through a bedroom to get there too). We love the inside floorplan the most but are now 99% committed to switching to a model whose interior isn't as favorable but has the full width double porches and french doors. also it has an elevator shaft which will be good for our respective parents since the houses are raised 14ft and that's a lot of stairs for old folks.

It really sucks spending a shitload of money and not being able to build exactly what you want but I was late to the game on committing and this is the only lot with a marsh view left so we're stuck with its restrictions (mind you I am not *on* the marsh like the back line of houses - those are all 1.3-1.5 million homes. ya boy ain't that well off).

Looks beautiful.

I love it there. Did a port tour of Wando in July

I'll be back for client visits in February or March

We bought new so I have no good advice or constructive input but goodluck with all of this.

Yo Diode,
Building a house is wonderful, especially if its your dream home (just the way you like it). But it you choose to roll out, usually will be at a loss. Hopefully that is not the case with you.
