Now Boldy is Boldy James from Detroit and was signed in 2014 to Nas's new label Mass Appeal and hasn't released anything since FYI but the wording in which the bar is relayed in bold holds some meaning IMO.

Royce also slaughtered the funk flex freestyle a few weeks back to Nas "NY state of Mind" which also is produced by Preme who also produced PRyhme 1 and 2.

Like I said before I think Royce has some sort of bone to pick with Nas to some degree. We all know Royce name drops almost as bad a The Game does but the thing is to keep coming back on a consistent basis to the same mc may have some merit.

does he have the writing talent to stand amongst the best of battle rap right now? Of course. No one can deny that, but does he possess the crowd control that the battlers have mastered? probably not.

on the subject of him vs Nas. While Nas does have easily the most universally known diss track ever made imo.... I think Royce would take the W. He's the only person I've ever seen take a clear shot at Em and even Em didn't want that smoke. (We Ridin'/Malcolm X) clearly shit on D12 as a group and called Em out several times.

On the subject of Royce himself ..... Death Is Certain is still my favorite album and in constant rotation on my playlist, as is some of his other tracks/albums. Prhyme/Layers was really good too. (haven't listened to Prhyme 2 yet) I think Bar Exam 2 was my favorite of the series so far but I'd have to listen to all 4 again cuz it's been a while.

I haven't checked out anything new of Royce yet but been meaning to.
Nas is dope but never been a fan, just not my style of what I like. I don't even like Em that much but I respect their talent.
