You basically saying the avg american>avg everyone else. Chill w that u need to get checked for that shit imo...shows ignorance and lack of empathy tbh...

I wont deny ignorance, and i wont deny i dropped out of high school and never passed english/writing classes so maybe im having trouble getting my point across. I dont feel more for any nation outside of america. Not because i think americans are better humans. But because im a fucking american.

I dont view an attack on belgium as worse than an attack in yemen. Its not my concern. I can feel bad for them and the families affected. I have enough empathy to feel bad for them all equally, where as the average american feels worse if it happens to a culture that resembles there own. Which is natural i guess

But im not gonna sit here and act like i wouldnt think it was worse if it happened in america. I wouldnt expect a belgian to think the boston bombings were worse than this. Or feel more empathy for americans. Thats ludicrous.

Diode 03-23-2016 11:55 AM

uhoh does not now nor has he ever had empathy

yall are barking up the wrong tree

Plot 03-23-2016 11:58 AM

Well then stop talking in circles.
I'm trying to explain to these fuckkking americans that this bombing in Europe
is serious! But in a few months will feel like a grain of sand in the bucket, look at it!
Free Radicals have swarmed Europe with the Syrian crisis, sleeper agents everywhere.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

I typically avoid these debates because we won't change each others minds on anything we strongly believe in. This will end up another 10+ page thread where the topic derails into muthafuckas ggetting into heated debates, damn near arguments over passionate beliefs. W.a couple of others coming in the thread to either bring the beef they already had existing w. Another muthafucka into the thread, people watching, gifs & meme from people trying to lighten the thread mood or instigators, & punchlines.

So I'll gracefully bow out & agree to disagree.

Sharp 03-23-2016 12:15 PM

Man what

All I was thinking was that my heart goes out to victims and to a lesser extent, I heard about Ankara a few days before on npr and was surprised it never came up anywhere else

Srs what the fuck guys

word but u seem to be going in circles u like all humans the same so why does it matter where they live? You are basing ur judgement of not caring about brussels attacks because people in brussels wouldn't care about america attacks so therefore u r letting the opinion of somebody in brussels dictate your opinion. Think for urself according to ur deepest truths bro. If you've had this mentality since high school you aren't thinking enough about it, u aren't evolving.

Plot 03-23-2016 12:25 PM

rnt u a german?
@Sharp might be mistaken

Na uh oh has empathy he is just misguided, to be honest I would be more disgusted by somebody in the lower echelon of the upper class who feels ostensibly superior to others because of the gold plaited dross he has accumulated. Rifles, land, probably boring wife etc and sure you're "superior" to everyone. Suspect...

dull boy 03-23-2016 12:35 PM

I don't think uh-oh is saying he cares less about the individuals because of where the attacks occurred, it's more about the fear as it relates to the proximity. It's about risk, not empathy. If Japan is attacked I feel for those citizens who are caught in the crossfire just as much as I would if it happened in America, but I wouldn't feel it posed as much of an immediate danger to me personally. It's also somewhat about desensitization.

Plot 03-23-2016 12:39 PM

Your all deluded if you think there is no third world...
Half the world is in poverty, and they basically are fine with it.
They have no money and live off the land and are happier than you.
take a trip to Vanuatu or Baii or idk.. I have, it opened my eyes.

Destroyer 03-23-2016 12:47 PM

you are probably just horrible at asserting your opinion
but you're coming off ignorant as fuck in this thread

You might be thinking Sn00p. I'm American

Plot 03-23-2016 12:56 PM

Dude I like you, I dig reading your batts
And I get your actually around the same age as me.
But Im not an American, and you are.
Im just not a yank. And you guys think it all revolves around you.
I like you man, but just here me out without the prejudice.

Plot 03-23-2016 12:59 PM

Yeah..sorry, but hes in trouble, Europes going down

Destroyer 03-23-2016 12:59 PM

I'm the one saying that it's all bad everywhere anytime it happens
you are like, nah it's only bad in the first world
I disagree

Plot 03-23-2016 01:18 PM

Im saying its going to matter now.
...
This is like a domino effect .Heres a thought: 9'11 was 15 yrs ago, so if you were an 8 year old living in Iraq 15 yrs ago, now you are 23.. with a gut load of hate for the western world that ruined your childhood. Then spread this generation across Europe with the Syrian refugee crisis..
