I noticed a lot of your verses are kind of long.

My thing with that is, it feels like you having a hard time putting together a whole concept & staying within that concept. So, how about you try writing a short verse, and mastering being on topic?

One step at a time. That's what I did years ago. One verse I would try to write to that idea. Another verse I'd work on the flow of it.
Another would be the rhyme schemes, being descriptive/imagery, etc...
