Also there is some truth to his larger point of southern police being rooted in slave patrols. But you don't have to take my word for it....

I didn't say police, I said policing.
As in, the act of giving people a duty to apprehend criminals was not invented in America nor is it racist.
I don't doubt southern police in america have a history of racism, southern everything in america has a history of racism, but the concept of policing itself is not inherently racist.
