I can agree with you on that. His music was definitely HYPE type music & his beats were fire.

@oats - My reservations are in regards to him being a dope lyricist. IMO, as MW stated, he was good for the "HYPE" music, nothing more. And for the most part, he wasn't consist. At all, either. Have you guys seen him lately? I honestly have pitty for dude, crack has taken his life over, sadly.
