I'm writing off and on through-out the work week. It's been slowing sledding. I'm very rusty at writing to a specific topic/deadlines. My ideas tend to become too grand and I'm swallowed up by ambition and a lack of time/skill needed for execution. My competitive spirit and perfectionist nature make me not want to post half ass shit. Sad face.

@Black Glacier and @Diode, you may post tonight.

it will be better this way

PancakeBrah 02-28-2014 07:34 PM

I'm writing 2 verse every week.

FUCK IT.

Mike Wrecka 02-28-2014 07:47 PM

Frank did it for an entire season.

to me it really says that you may have a tad too much time on your hands

Certain 02-28-2014 07:48 PM

Or you write quickly. Once I have an idea, it only takes me maybe 90 minutes to put it together. I should have written two verses against Lars.

Mike Wrecka 02-28-2014 07:51 PM

it takes me a week to get 90 minutes of quiet writing time

dull boy 02-28-2014 07:54 PM

Once I have the concept mapped out it comes out quickly, but I've struggled with that this week. Probably 3 or 4 verses in this topic, for me. I just can't seem to get any of them down. Busy and stuff.

Or I'm just better at managing my time than you.

I will not stand for these subtle attacks on my character, Michael.

You should abandon your loved ones. It makes for a lot more writing time.

Clockwerk 02-28-2014 08:09 PM

Ill be honest my plan is to write every week and hopefully elevate, just in time for the playoffs which my turning up every week regardless of w/l will get me in :D cheap eh lol

P.S. i did read if ya turn up every week its auto playoff?

Yes. If you post a verse and three votes in at least 14 weeks, you will get a spot. That's why the total number of playoff entrants hasn't been decided.

And what you described isn't cheap, it's the actual goal of a league. I think El Pancake improved over the course of last season, or at least he broadened and polished his already established talents.

Clockwerk 02-28-2014 08:13 PM

Sound :D

dull boy 02-28-2014 08:26 PM

Yeah. It's a reason to write. I don't really look at this as a competition. You write what you write each week for yourself, I will, anyway. I'm so rusty. Takes forever to get in that zone, it seems.

PancakeBrah 02-28-2014 08:29 PM

I think story leads and images will lend to easier writing.

Objective 02-28-2014 08:31 PM

@patrown: I NEVER do that shit!

my advice to you is do not read your opponents verse before you start writing. i'm willing to go out on a limb and say you did.
(Hope this isn't considered as swaying btw. If it is, delete this @mods.)

Less open to wild interpretations and open ended ideas. Makes it hard to choose a direction.

Why's your name Clockwerk? Any connections to the underground DJ (my respects) by any chance?
