in my view, biting is biting.. regardless if you bit from a biter, you took the material that you thought would result in a win (which from what I saw in these battles, he did win) and put the bitch up. There are no technicalities to it really. Biters in my opinion take the account ban, make a new account and try again the right way. Shit isn't taken as seriously as it used to be but everyone brands you as a biter will never forget.

I can't picture a guy being setup in such a way. I know if I had a battle going, and some how I went to go look and there was already a post with my name on it.. I would probably say something along the lines of, "I didn't write that, my account seems to have been hacked". He saw some shit he liked, he copied it.. and pasted it to get a few easy wins. all of these conspiracy theories seem unlikely to me. what seems more probable is that he really wanted to win the SS season, and he snaked some verses he thought would help him do it. He even tweaked them a bit, right? that strikes me as an effort to camouflage his actions. if it was because he wanted to prove a point or something, he probably would have popped up and said something about it. he's @Persevere right?
people are making excuses for him. it's not that perplexing - he bit for the same reasons anyone bites. it would have made less sense if he wasn't in the playoffs against better writers, but it seems pretty straightforward to me. |

I don't know about a "set up." if a guy as overly emotional as dagel was called a biter when he wasn't he would have been all over the boards in an extra dramatic way well before getting slapped with the IP ban.
