idk if this has been mentioned but do u guys remember Patch Adams? easily one of my favorite Robin Williams movies.

anyways, when christopher reeves was hospitalized after the horse falling accident and was told he was paralyzed and would never recover, he told the doctors that he wanted to be euthanized and gave them permission to let him go.

robin williams heard of this and visited the hospital dressed like a doctor and actually convinced christopher reeves to continue living.

that, along with his love and support for the military, will probably be my fondest memory.

Yeah he was a true inspiration and has done a lot of amazing things for people. The list is unlimited as for generous acts he's contributed. Really sucks.

I couldn't help but think of the movie Jack when I heard. I always felt that he was a tortured soul in real life, but most comedians are. He was ahead of his time. I could probly quote the whole mrs doubtfire, grew up on that shit. My parents were pretty distraught too, as they enjoyed his standup on top of his movies.

Hate people that say "I can't feel bad for someone who kills themselves, especially w that much money" that's so ignorant. Money can make you comfortable but not necessarily happiness. And as far as not feeling bad, don't I guess, but that also probly means you don't comprehend that misery cuz you've never been there. Which then maybe means your life is easy and you never really suffered through anything. Idk, I'm goin too far but those comments really piss me off

Then when he dies, all of these bitch ass celebrities get on social media with their false sympathy and bullshit condolences paying tribute to his success as an actor and being an upstanding human being. None of those fucking well-wishers gave a shit while he was alive. His Hollywood star appeal was in decline and it wasn't just bc of the demons he was combating everyday of his life. He wasn't getting work in Hollywood as much as he used to bc nobody gave a shit ab him or his problems. When the opportunity came up to do a random family flick that needed somebody who had moderate starpower in that genre they would go with him after their initial choices declined the role. Hollywood watched Robin Williams die and when he did they fucking capitalized on it. Look at his show Crazy Ones..instead of riding it out and sticking with it, they dropped that shit in a heartbeat bc it was always ab status and appeal. Low-ratings, aging comedian with personal issues. Hollywood says fuck u then does the obligatory walk of fame star tribute.
