After this whole brass body debacle :) I thought i would ask the common censuses on what a topical means to everyone..

Cause kuja and mine both got considered as standard topical's by different people..
So i'm just wondering if yall from other boards see topical's as a rhyming piece of literature birthed from a viewable certain topic..

Or do you separate the difference .from a lyrical story.. regardless if the topic is a full quote, a story lead or just one word.

This is not a shot anyone person this is purely out of curiosity..

And even at the sake of body brass coming back n saying look look cats over there dont know what a topical is, i dont care.. he is a nice writer just an over sensitive one, that smokes too many four leaf clovers :)

My view is that a topical verse is a single idea/point portrayed around that topic, it can venture off to prove that point but there is one single voice of reason..

when you have a verse like either kuja or mine they turn into lyircal stories.. where there are multiple avenues to take
where it can be left as just a story an no more
where there are twists that throw you from any meaning that might occur
where there are alternate ending depending on your views
etc, etc

so im not attacking anybody, i am not trolling brass body.. If anything im putting my own neck on the line looking like a dickhead.. N im cool with that, i just want to hear your views on what you believe it is..

Maybe that i've viewed shit wrong for separating the two n a topical is just that "lyrics to a topic"

If i feel im wrong n you sell me, shit i'll call a topical an advanced haiku if peeps make it sound legit.. :)

i like when topicals rhyme and arent just filled with end rhymes. i also like either a story or a good description of something, like i feel like you dont ALWAYS need a plot with a dope twist but if ppl try to write a plot im gonna critique them on it

@Cereal_Killa I pretty much agree with you on everything you said about a topical.

sweet, i think it might b just a site thing where the word can be used in dif ways..

Both contenders. Zen is steadily become of the fresher flowers in the game. He is like water. Bruce Lee said this. ''You must be shapeless, formless, like water''. He is getting in his groove and he should excel further. Kuja is a good story teller, he was inspired by my tail and created the other side of the coin. From me to you, I liked that shit. I got Zen here with a round house kick.

Malachi (0-2) vs. Patrown (2-1)
Patrown; best voter AOWL has ever seen. Tutorial, seriously. Malachi is still reeling in shock from his fathers invasion of his porn party. If malachi channels that shame and resentment into a topical this week; he will be AOBs favorite son. Malachi wins.

Topicaldood5 (1-0) vs. Innovator (2-4)
Soulstice the legend versus AOWL bluntedest member = slobber knocker. Rooting for innovator

Mike Wrecka (3-3) vs. ZeeDee (2-1)
My main man mike; tough loss last week; with his best verse yet. Mike is potential. Really yet to see his capabilities. ZeeDee will write and write it will be expressive. Writers writer there. I got Mike here with a even better verse than last week that connects with the readers jaw before Zee's does.

Exoduzt (0-0) vs. Objective (0-2)
Smoothtungs protege, Exoduzt; Welcome. Objective looking for his first W. Got Exoduzt crashing the party though.

c.d.m. (2-4) vs. Ink (2-1)
C.D.M; powerful man. He is a sermon. Ink, AKA Orange you glad ya didn't say banana is looking to get his juice here after a tough loss. Vertias takes it with a sweeping saga.

Vulgar (0-0) vs. Witty (2-2)
Wow. Battle of the week. Vulgar is a wizard and witty is a words-man. At it's height I see Vulgar looking down on the Irishmen; with a mythical smirk... Close; but no cigar.

Cakecakecake(0-3) vs. Nigma (3-1)
Cake is trash. Nigmas from Canada. Nuff said. Reminds me of a NWL battle. Welcome to the AOWL. TIME TO FUCK UP THESE RSTL AND THESE RIA NIGGAS WHATTTTT. Cake is excellent. But lazy by nature. Cake is bad carbs. Nigma is the truth but he's from canada. I got pancake brah no showing 4 times and Nigma the nephalem getting his 4th straight victory by no show.

Vinzr (3-1) vs. Que (0-0)
Never heard of Q. Vin is pretty decent. I got Vinzr with the upperhand.

Split (3-2) vs. IAmBenT (2-1)
This is a great battle. Heavy wordy nerdy topsy turvy hopefully neither one you has scurvy. Great writers who will spell bind you in a whirl of words. Props to the victor.

the pr method is best. just have a long list that can be drawn from at any time. topics work best as mere guidelines anyways.

Seriously, i had to dig deep to find a good angle. Today was the only day I really have time to sit and write. I spent like an hour at least just trying to figure out a different approach
