Nah the famine was the cause of 2/3 of the population of Ireland leaving the country for places like America and England, mainly America.

There are more people outside Ireland with Irish passports than there are in Ireland lol

I dunno man, maybe cuz until recently we were verrryy poor and for some reason drugs go hand in hand with poverty.

And yes, I plan to live in America eventually, just to see what's up over there, will not stay forever tho, I already know where I will retire in Ireland. The hills of County Kerry...it is beautiful, it makes my soul smile.

My mothers family is very Irish. Some of them have visited. If I ever am successful I may take a trip there. The blood sausages scare me though. SRS.

Actually, on second thoughts I think THAT probably did come from the famine, I read a book called Under The Hawthorn Tree about the famine and in it they slit a cow's throat and make a pudding with the blood.
