Yeah i mean it's been a weird week definitely but we all checked in and had more than a week to prepare. There's not really an excuse for it, if you absolutely need an EXT you need to ask, Sletcht was the only one to say so.

We got to be stricter with the rules going forward. If you don't make the deadline it's minus 1 vote, regardless if you request an EXT or not. Having no penalty turns the verses into this waiting game where ppl dont post when they're done because they want to post last or have more time etc.

You get a 24 hour grace passed the deadline with a minus 1 vote penalty. After that it's a loss and you're out of the league for 1 week. That's the only way this will work.

In the case of dead man and orrie, whoever posts first gets the advantage and the other guy minus 1 vote if he posts after. Otherwise fuck em, hand em L's and let's move forward.

I see what you're saying but for the sake of trying to cut some of these no shows down i decided to give him a little leeway. Also I'm of the same opinion as you were two weeks ago when you were no-showed, I'd rather win because my writing was the best in the battle, not because i was the only one who bothered writing.

This is correct @Inno. But mainly because Universe was already set up vs someone, and Clutbuck/Lars stepped in with a verse. There wasn't really anything in place yet, or anyone knowing, that people could step in in case of a no-show. Because of that I deemed it unfair/not a valid battle, at least not until a system like that is set in place instead of winging it and go "ye, no probs" while Universe, or even other people that may have wanted to take the spot prior to it just happening, potentially suffer from it. Most likely that wouldn't be the case but I put consistency and already set rules above last sec decisions, and at that point in time it was something I'd want to fix up on further on in the league. Props for stepping up with a dope submission regardless, Lars.

In other leagues I’ve been in, no-show short notice fill-ins never count as wins actually, they’re purely a show of good sportsmanship on whoever is filling in. I certainly wouldn’t have changed my stance on this as it’s what’s always been done. Objective has the same opinion.

As it stands I’m 2 wins over opposition that both turned up and went to votes. You and dead both have a no show victory, this is why my ranking is higher (a no-show victory over someone isn’t regarded in the same respect as a legitimate win).

Adverse 3-0 (3 wins, 1 by NS)
Clutbuck 2-0 (2 wins)
Universe 2-0 (2 wins, 1 by NS)
Deadman 2-0 (2 wins, 1 by NS)
MMLP 1-1

This is correct as per the rankings system.

If I beat Adverse, and Universe beats Deadman, then me vs Uni happens in Week 4 like he wishes.

It’s fairly simple to see how it works out and I’ve tried to be as transparent as I can with how the system works. There’s nothing untoward here. I thought MMLP was 2-0 also which could have altered things somewhat but he’s in fact 1-1 (lost to Adverse) so he’s out of the equation for now.
