|
Because there can only be one king......by definition.
That king of ny line was a swag jack line for line from an old kurupt song ne ways. |
I've heard one Kendrick Lamar verse.
An it was from YOLO by The Lonely Island So... It was ight I guess? Word hip-hop is trash. |
Lol....im still confused how u came to text battle......

By typo. There was a site called my6bars.com That was supposed to increase your phones signal strength that my friend told me about. Well I typed in a 16 instead of a 6. Turns out my6bars was never real anyway, But, on this my16bars place people made fun of eachother by way of textual poem battles. I thought to myself. Hey. This seems like a good waste of 20 minutes. 2 years and a few google searches later, here I am. |
Ive been to that site. Lmfao.
But so wait. U dint even ised to like rap....like u dont even like it now? U didnt used to watch rap battles on tv er nuthin? This boggles my mind. If i dint like rap...wasnt a fan of live battles etc i would never think this was cool at all? |
I was 15 and bored Brah.
Plus. Are we pretending this is like rap? Other than it rhymes? |
But yeah.
I don't like rap. I like some songs tho. Like uhh... 99 problems by jay. Is that what it's called? Idk. Ughh... The Caucasian in me enjoys some early Em. I've hear a couple hopsin songs? There kind of cool? Maybe. Who knows. Oh. Straigh Outta Compton obv. There's a Lupe song that was in NBA live 07 I liked. Word. |
My interest in text stemmed from rap...so i mean yea a little bit.
I mean.....its like its weird awkward retarded geek nephew....but theyre related Why else would the majority of the board post hiphop rap topics alk the time I started posting text cuz i just wanted people to read my bars an kno that they were hot since i didnt record.....an read other peoples dope bars too I just think if i didnt like rap id have 0interest in this at all.....i mean theres an odd writing relation that ive started to aknowledge lately too....but Idk I dont understand this meth. |
Yeah, text isn't everything.... but it does and can help people transition to picking up a mic and recording.
Some ppl can't afford to record....so they text. It definitely helps with rhyme mechanics. |
Bags you should stick to this account, you're a much more civil and charming boarder under it.
|
Yea. Jims a good dude.
|
Jim is pretty much a faggot.
I mean. Pretty much. |
@God Of War ...
These youngins weren't around to rip the plastic wrap off the cassette tape the day illmatic and ready tk die dropped Next they say capital punishment isn't a classic ... Honestly I've listened to childish gambino camp 100 Times more the lamars gkmc .... its just a better album to me And yes I know thier will be hysterics and hate to follow that comment but kendrick just isn't as good as he's made to be Yall the same fuckers that held drake on this pedestal when he dropped that first mixtape that people swear is a classic ..... now where he at? Making bullshit records ... don't get me wrong drake can drop fire from time to time but he's booty cheeks more then not Kendrick fucked himself. .. he put this pressure on himself and he won't last through it .... |

as sad as this sounds... So Far Gone was shit ya girl was bumping for no reason. in it's essence it is a classic and was the birth of this soft ass rap shit and the takeover of Young Money completely. was SFG bad? no, that shit was a mixtape but Drake has changed the game for better and worse w/ SFG. all them thug niggas and autotune abusers didn't even come in till Drake put it out and niggas was like, "okay maybe i can gangbang and sing and nobody will hate me?". t-pain popularized autotune, drake popularized uses of it and tbh, Drake's SFG is a classic for certain ppl. i swear u old niggas talkin about a diff generation that ya'll aint connected to then get mad when the young niggas like young dlb da god aka steaksauce swag himself come in. you niggas the same ones like "RAPS TOO COMMERCIAL.....BUT THAT JAY Z ALBUM THO". fuck outta here, jay z been dropping all this commercial shit that hasn't progressed it since he retired, which is 2003. he's been on a decade decline, holla |
& i don't even like Drake, hell, I'm the first nigga to roast on him.
|
Man you tell me a legit album from a newer artist that dropped in the last 3 years??
I'm talking front to back bangers ... The best new artist albums I've purchased are childish gambino camp and macklemore snd ryan lewis the heist... not classics but good albums ... and I even said lamars cd was good and I've bought it but its just not a classic I'm not living in the past I was just around when standards were higher ... now shits graded on a curve like raps in a special ed class |
you are living in the past. u niggas be the first to sit here and swallow a load when niggas name Biggie and Pac, off the top. Big L, Big Pun, etc. ya'll act like they didn't release bad songs or was overhyped to the max (hi BIGGIE AND PAC). then be crying when today's rap doesn't spit it as hard as some of those dudes or goes mainstream, but u the first nigga to say Jay-Z Magna Carta Holy Fail was some good shit. lol this nigga be speaking about shit that ain't even relevant to anybodies lives anymore, he just talk about fancy rich ppl shit and ya'll go "ohhhhhhhh HOV SO THOUGHTFUL, HE DONT GOTTA BE LYRICAL HOV THO, HE CAN JUST BE OLD AND TALK ABOUT WHATEVER. <3 U TOO H.O.V."
kobe can't ever play bad or he get eaten up by ESPN reporters and sports analysts and son old and injured as fuck. he wants that 6th ring, whether he gotta jump over 10 cars, shoot the ball over every nigga on a team, score every point, etc. that's how jay, nas, dudes those ages should feel when they put out shit. but instead we get trashy shit ya'll wanna call "grown man music" for close to a decade. son been grown, he been making some music on grown topics |
You still haven't named a legit classic from the last 3 years ..
And to be real I'm not a huge Pac fan ... like some of his work And biggie never had the chance to release a bad song.... every song duke made was real good ... that's real talk . Eminem my fav rapper and and I know he's made bad songs ... I love kanye as well and he's made bad songs But the question remains name a classic album from the last 3 years by a newer cat? Or your favorite album or something worth while I can name some shit I named a few I liked but rap without the grime snd grit isn't rap its pop its kesha with a deeper voice |
son we ain't even halfway through the 2010's, say from the last about 5 yrs and i could name a cpl
Drake - SFG was a mainstream classic. Kendrick Lamar - GKMC was a classic & Section 80 was better than GKMC so what does that make it? Frank Ocean - Nostalgia, Ultra's not a classic but son made a whole mixtape of cool shit and Channel Orange was also pretty cool. Joey Bada$$ - 1999 was fire. classic, nah. I haven't peeped his new joint, Summer Knights. Kanye West - My Beautiful, Dark Twisted Fantasy. production wise, it's a classic. rap wise, nah. kanye dropped a beat for every emotion he felt that time and i know he ain't a new artist, but son re-invent himself every time. Action Bronson's dropped some shit, i forgot the name but it was pretty cool to me. not a lot of artists dropping classics anymore, they focus is to be on that jay z shit and just rack up money, no matter how they risk integrity of the art, etc |
I think it has to be past 3 years to even decide an albums a classic
atleast a decade maybe iunno |
I think Yeezus is going into my all-time favorites list, but it's way too polarizing to call a true classic. I'm guessing most of the people here don't like it or at least weren't too impressed by it. In my opinion, it's his best.
Killer Mike's R.A.P. Music probably doesn't quite qualify as a classic, but it's No. 2 on my rap albums of the past three years list. good kid, m.A.A.d. city and Acid Rap are up there. |
i ain't a fan of yeezus at all, sounds like pop music now-a-days. it don't even sound like a kanye produced album tbh, u don't feel like u walking in kanye shoes. it sound like i'm living life through the eyes of daft punk or the black eyed peas. i wasn't feeling it
|
It definitely wasn't for everyone, but I don't think it was anything like Black Eyed Peas. The Daft Punk influence was there, but I think it gets exaggerated because it was most obvious on the first three tracks, so it gives that impression immediately. And I like Daft Punk a lot, to the point where I think their album this year was one of the five best of the past three years.

Drake not a classic. .. sorry its just not... it was good but its not classic Gkmc not a classic .... I seem to be the minority on this and I'm not saying he a bad rapper at all he is one of the best new cats out but his album doesn't make me feel the same as when I heard certified classics for the first Frank ocean ... why even bring him up Kanye is my cup of tea and I love my twisted dark fantasy and yeezus but their not college dropout or graduation And ill give you joey badass duke has mad promise Action Bronson is ok ... my bro loves his shit and I'm wsrming up to it |
Is it sad that Travis from gym class heroes can rap better then most newer artist out now?
Their are some up and combing artist that I'm waiting the hear more from though But I don't get people's infatuation with the asap crew ... shit just doesn't do anything for me snd fhe best one asap nast doesn't get any shine anyway ... rap is ass backwards lol |
bronson remind me of u two niggas... ya'll all need a diet
but yo, frank ocean rap & sang and is bisexual( i don't judge or hate on son cause of his personal choices tho) but he got promise too. he made No Church In the Wild and Made in America from Watch the Throne have any emphasis and he just a feature. he on everybody shit singing shit b. stop w/ this old geezer shit dawg |
I know who he is and he should stick to akon'n records ... idc if dude sucks dick ... he can sing his rapping is just ok from what I've heard
Amazing hook man though |
Frank Ocean doesn't rap very often anymore. Channel Orange was a classic. Period. But it isn't a rap album, so I didn't include it.
