i am constantly improving. just not in ways that society deems necessary

i am losing weight to prolong the life of my joints. the physical activities i engage in to make money and being probably 80 pounds overweight don't go hand in hand. this self improvement is just a tactic to prolong my physical self destruction. if my mechanical body fails prior to my organs, i am fucked. if that makes sense. i still plan on living hard and recklessly and punching the ticket around 60-70 tops. if my body were to fail at 40 however, i would not be able to support myself FINANCIALLY until organ failure. so realistically i would be forced to top myself 20-30 years early. that is 20-30 years of earthly pleasures i am denying myself.

Are you absolutely set upon this course, Jim?

nothing is absolute.

we all carve our own paths on the journey to nothingness. the goal is to acquire the most enjoyment along the way. my only goal is to carve my own, without having a negative impact on others, or influencing others paths on their journey. i struggle most with the second part however. people who knew me in my darkest of days see me living my best life now and it goes beyond convention, i feel i negatively impact them because we all ain't built for this life but they see my successes and try it. they are social beings however and suffer because of it.

this confounds them. at the same time i acknowledge i am not unique, however instead of turning course from the storm, i turned into the waves. i relish times of boredom as self reflection and have turned destructive thought into righteous displeasure, which i use to fuel shenanigans of breathtaking scope.

i also type absolute nonsense while i wait for things to download.

irony: Have you every heard of the UH-OH EFFECT?

Connie Gersich out of UCLA did some very fascinating research on midpoints. basically people who came to a midpoint (not beginning or end) and realized they were behind did one of two things. This realization lit a fire under them, or they cemented into their bustedness.

I pray that you choose the former, Jim.
